Collins said criticism about civilian casualties "held the international coalition to a much higher standard." He said however that rights groups did not complain about Taliban suicide bombings that killed scores of civilians because "they know it is futile" and would "fall on deaf ears because the Taliban are immoral."
Only moral people should be held to a high standard?
Sounds like the Repubs and Dems. "You Republicans are moral people, so we are going to pound on your tiniest transgressions. We Dems are frequently pond scum, so don't complain when we are just being ourselves."
