Tipper can watch Al give a speech on a widescreen plasma TV, where Al looks almost as wide as in life. . . Steyn is quite amusing this morning.

When I first glanced at the headline, I was expecting a barf alert, but then I saw it was by Mark Steyn. Brilliant, as usual.

Next thing you know, the liberals will be selling "murder offsets." Jack will murder Jill and buy a murder offset so that Jan will refrain from murdering Dan. Thus we have net zero murder.

if this is the ecological Holocaust, Gore's pad is Auschwitz Ouch!

"So Al can buy his carbon offsets from himself. Better yet, he can buy them with the money he gets from his long-time relationship with Occidental Petroleum. See how easy it is to be carbon-neutral? All you have do is own a gazillion stocks in Big Oil, start an eco-stockbroking firm to make eco-friendly investments, use a small portion of your oil company's profits to buy some tax-deductible carbon offsets from your own investment firm, and you too can save the planet while making money and leaving a carbon footprint roughly the size of Godzilla's at the start of the movie when they're all standing around in the little toe wondering what the strange depression in the landscape is."
This freak has no shame.

This is possibly the biggest scam I've ever heard of. The Clintons are not half as smart as this guy.

LOL. Brilliant.

Gore also believes he keeps his trim figure by consuming ice cream in the middle of the night. There's scientific consensus that there's absolutely no calories in ice cream if nobody sees you eat it.

That 221,000 kilowatt-hours might suggest that, if this is the ecological Holocaust, Gore's pad is Auschwitz.Bump.

The Eco-Messiah sternly talks up the old Nazi comparisons: What we're facing is an "ecological Holocaust, and "the evidence of an ecological Kristallnacht is as clear as the sound of glass shattering in Berlin."If it weren't for the fact that Steyn absolutely nails Algore to the wall with the rest of the column, I'd be nauseous just from this one quote...

Al: You buy carbon offsets? Where's the proof Al? If a Republican was in his position, the press would demand a tour of the house to see for themselves the compact florescent lamps and other eco-friendly devices, they would demand to see the paperwork on the purchases the "carbon traders" make, then make sure they were made. But, because this is Al Gore, they give him a pass.
