FreeRepublic Policy Statement
FrreRepublic ^ | Unknown | Jim Robinson

Posted on 03/03/2007 5:38:03 PM PST by ZULU

"Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security. We support our military, our troops and our Commander-in-Chief and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty. "

LOL.

It must be true, I have seen a lot of Gingrich supporting liberal trolls hanging around lately.

Are you saying that those who oppose Rudy voted for Perot?

REPLY

No, NO, NO nononnonononno

None of the seventeen million will ever admit to voting for Perot, none.

Well, one guy down at the bar said he voted for Roshhh Perrrottt.

However, I am saying that the same kind of narrow mindedness that gave America a Democrat president in 1992 also seems to be prevalent in many Rudy haters and bashers.

We need to have a civil discussion about who will lead the conservative party.

The key word is civil.

I'd call myself a conservative with a mean libertarian streak.

You know, sounds like me zook. Only I would leave out the 'mean' part cause I ain't no average libertarian! only kidding :-))

It is your vanity.

I guess you can do whatever you want..and you got a lot of people participating.

However, I might have done it more positively...like posting the FR purpose statement.

Then, asking who we all think would fit that bill...OR, if you are already in favor or a particular candidate, then say something like:

I am thinking of backing "so and so"..and think he comes the closest to these qualities.

INSTEAD....you just threw out red meat...WANTING a fight.

So...you were either fishing for a thread of only people that agree with you and want to bash Rudy...or you were wanting to pick a fight with anyone that might like Rudy as a candidate.

I prefer discussion to picking fights.

LOL

This is the kind of thread I like sometimes.

Who would a thunk 20 years ago I would be sitting in San Diego County acting like a keyboard warrior on a perfectly good Saturday night.

I didn't vote for Perot. I supported Bush Senior all year in 1992.

Don't equate Rudy haters with Perotistas. Giuliani is a bona fide left winger, who is probably to the left of Joe Lieberman. His views and statements are anathema to many conservatives.

I thought it was 19 million who voted for Perot in '92?? Or was it 19%? Before he dropped out he was actually leading in the polls. Then he came back in. That whole sequence of events was strange. Remember when he accused George H.W. of sabotaging (or trying to) his daughter's wedding? He really had a feud going with the Bush family back then...And he ended up endorsing George W. in 2000!

I hate liberals almost as much as I hate conservatives with superiority complexes.

You hate yourself?

INteresting intrpretation.

I guess everyone views thing from a different perspective.

And I see no lack of discussion in this particular thread.

I think some people who have suppoted Giuliani are a bit discomforted by the obvious disconnect between conservative political philosophy and their candidate.

Where have you been? The Bushbots and Rudybots trash Reagan on a regularly basis here on FRee Republic. They think it makes their guys look better. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth.

BTW. Aren't you a conservative? Wasn't Reagan your man too?

I think in order to flush them out,you need to ask them questions about themselves.

When they lie, the mods have them.

Just a theory.
