Statement from the ANSWER Coalition on the March 17-18 Global Days of Action
ANSWER Coalition ^ | 2/07 | ANSWER Coalition

Posted on 02/24/2007 9:08:13 AM PST by hophead

The people of the United States want an end to the war in Iraq. The elections in November were a clear repudiation of the Bush administration's war of aggression. The new Congress, however, has no intention of ending the war. Bush and the Pentagon generals are determined to prolong the war. Tens of thousands of more troops will be sent to Iraq. We are building a massive antiwar movement on the national and local level. Only the action of the people will stop the war.

We are returning to the Pentagon because the Iraq war has resulted in more than 655,000 Iraqi deaths (Lancet), on top of more than 1 million killed by sanctions between 1990-2003. This is genocide.

*sigh*

These moonbats get old. The Lancet Report is bogus and those 1 million killed between 1990-2003 were not killed by the UN sanctions. Those 1 million were killed due to lack of medicine and lack of food. The UN sanctions did NOT prohibit those items in any way shape or form! Saddam used his money on building palaces instead of food and medicine for his people. Saddam killed those 1 million.

And notice how the moonbats call them just "sanctions" and not "UN sanctions!?"

No one died in Iraq between 1990-2003 unless Saddam said so. And he butchered them by the bushel.

I can't attend any rally that week, I'm sorry. My husband leaves for Iraq that week. They keep changing the day. We wish we could be there, though. He asks that someone speak for him there, so that it is clear that he does not fall under that group that ANSWER speaks for. Thanks to all of you for being so supportive of our military and of their mission.

I would not expect you to leave him at such a time. Families such as yours already make far greater sacrifices, on a daily basis, than I am able to.

Thank your husband for his service to our country, as I thank you for providing him the love and support he deserves as he prepares to depart. Godspeed to him and his unit, and God bless your family.

I voted, but I can understand those who didn't and I fully understand the Republicans let us down. I pray they are better than what they showed themselves to be. A good part of the reason we are here now falls squarely on their shoulders. They didn't lead, they didn't do so many things. Even now, where exactly are they? I think they feel much more comfortable in the minority. Perhaps, even before non-voters, they should be listed as very much accountable for the past election.

Well .. while I can agree that I do understand why people didn't vote.

But .. there is just so much at stake - OUR SOLDIERS' SURVIVAL - OUR NATIONAL SECURITY - how can people take that so lightly and give authority to people who are our enemy's appeasers and our military's haters.

That's what I don't understand.

I do agree the repubs brought it on themselves. When Hugh Hewitt put out his "pledge" that he would not support ANY REPUB who voted with the dems on the resolution to get out of Iraq, or to any repub who voted to de-fund our military .. a few of them woke up to reality: the dems didn't elect them .. we did .. and we expect them to honor OUR principles and not the dems.

Still .. I could not ever NOT VOTE. I believe it is my civic duty to vote (even if I have to hold my nose). Because if I can so easily give up voting .. the socialists-communists within the dem party will take that as a sign that I will give up voting without a fight. I refuse to give the dems what they want .. complete control.

I agree with you. Sadly, I think as a country, we just don't value liberty and understand the sacrifice as we should. Very dangerous.

I hope you are not going to be stupid enough to make the same disastrous choice in 2008.

They will. The same single issue idiots are already posting their intention of not voting if Rudy is nominated on this website.

Well .. the people who are now inundating FR with all their "I won't vote for Rudy" stuff - are not the voters who sat home in 2006.

I found that out by challenging some of them and accusing them of being Hillary supporters. Guess what ..?? None of them challenged my accusation .. they just left the threads.

While there might be a few people who will stay home .. the Hillary people are just trying to take advantage of FR to spew their hate-Rudy stuff.

Yes, it is very dangerous. The dems have done a good job of taking American history out of the classrooms and now there is little or no foundation for American's to believe in.

We've been working on changing this .. but we're way behind in getting the real American story back into the classroom. One of the good things is that more and more homeschoolers over the years have been learning the truth .. and I believe those students are now entering our colleges and that's why we're seeing an upsurge in Republican groups on campus.

IOW, the election in November 2006 wasn't a repudiation of the "war of aggression".

B.T.W.= Did YOU or anyone ELSE her Know:

WHY all of a "sudden" the DRASTICE Step-Up in ATTACKS and Pushing for " ENED THE WAR " Rhetoric and "BILLS" by :

---PELOSI! ---REED! --Other Traiotrous democrats! like Woosely?? recently??

Did YOU KNOW?! That:

ALL of the SENATE! & (I believe ALL-thou the RollCall memo sheet hasn't made it clear on the congress's end of this letter campaign) of CONGRESS! have Received the A.N.S.W.E.R.'s

" INVITATION "

To J-O-I-N !! I-N !! WITH THE LIBERALS " END THE WAR-END RACISM " RALLY FROM THEM!

SIGNED, supposedly- "in absense" by Fonda and the rest!???

THEY ALL KNOW about the RALLY! But more importantly--they were all asked AGAIN!!- \With THIS Latest ADDED ON:

(It Is..)"....More IMPORTANT Than EVER for your PUBLIC Presence and SUPPORT of Our Efforts On Our HISTORICAL March to the Pentagon, because of the "Right-War Mongering-Wing " of those who want our sons & daughters murdered in " BUSH'S WAR "- will be there to INTERFERRE and attempt to HINDER OUR MESSAGE of PEACE from Going out!!--As per Woosely open message read to get people from HER state to JOIN IN with ANSWER.(Because "SHE"; as SHE says, will "Unfortunately" be UNable to attend!(She may TALK LOUD and Traitorous-but she's ALSO no DOPE-when it comes to being " Press-Pictured-Associated-with ANSWER!IN pictures that No Doubt WOULD "come-out" during her NEXT Re-election campaign!

the dems in office are SCARED!!! and so are the LIBBIES!- who have "Writtened/Called" their "Liberal Leaders" in D.C. TELLING THEM " We NEED "YOUR" help!"(Physical Presence)

So I Too! Fully agree! they ARE on the RUN-- I also think THEY (ANSWER& FONDA) Know too- They will NOT be getting as such a good TURN OUT as they originally THOUGHT!(Though ANSWER stated, NOW of course, that the WHOLE rally was REALLY Gauged towards making it into the NEWS/PRESS and NOT , Of course NOT NOW TOO, " Body-Count and NUMBERS of Supporters Physically Present!

What WILL it "REFLECT" ( No matter HOW HARD Mathews & Katie TRY to paint it! or their SKY-CAMS try to make it BUILT UP to look like with CAMERA EFFECTS!) When "America" sees ONLY:

60's HIPPIES: NOW in their 70's/80's! and the

UNEMPLOYED- and 70 year old SOCIALISTS/Communists Marching-( with canes & wheel chairs like Ashner)-CAUSE:

the 94% of the PROTESTERS that LIBBIES DEPEND ON--the TEENAGERS & College FROSH/CLUBS-won't BE THERE!!

They will be out DRINKING!! Hahahahaha!

The Libbies ARE Scared--and I really DO think-Knowing how the dems like PELOSI & Crew don't take a NAP! ( okay-I toned what i was GOING tosay down!)without SOME "plan"- And there SUDDEN-CONSTANT press Statements coming out ARE 70% FOR making sure "Americans" do NOT "Notice" the GATHERING OF EAGLES- but rather FONDA-on the News!

Although-I DO wonder how many "ELECTED" dems WILL show up! Reed? Pelosi?? Ant bets anyone?
