Well .. while I can agree that I do understand why people didn't vote.

But .. there is just so much at stake - OUR SOLDIERS' SURVIVAL - OUR NATIONAL SECURITY - how can people take that so lightly and give authority to people who are our enemy's appeasers and our military's haters.

That's what I don't understand.

I do agree the repubs brought it on themselves. When Hugh Hewitt put out his "pledge" that he would not support ANY REPUB who voted with the dems on the resolution to get out of Iraq, or to any repub who voted to de-fund our military .. a few of them woke up to reality: the dems didn't elect them .. we did .. and we expect them to honor OUR principles and not the dems.

Still .. I could not ever NOT VOTE. I believe it is my civic duty to vote (even if I have to hold my nose). Because if I can so easily give up voting .. the socialists-communists within the dem party will take that as a sign that I will give up voting without a fight. I refuse to give the dems what they want .. complete control.

I agree with you. Sadly, I think as a country, we just don't value liberty and understand the sacrifice as we should. Very dangerous.
