I drive a 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300D that I bought from the original owner for $100. Looks good and gets me where I need to go at about 23mpg.

This is all I need. Bought it for $500...
Now all I've got to do is get it back off the jack stands! :)

I had owned a '99 - 300M. On a trip last December, I picked a new 300 for a rental - just to compare. I was disappointed. A number of features were no longer there:
1. Passenger seat no longer had power adjustments.
2. Headrests no longer tilt.
3. Seats were not as comfortable.
4. Sun Visors no longer had extensions.
5. The steering wheel adjustment lever used to be quick and easy.
Not any more.
6. No compass above.
I was turned off.

My Camry has a moonroof and alloy wheels, but you're not likely to see those on the rental lot at the airport.

I'm still driving a '96 Civic. Falling apart but still hangin' in there at the same time, if you know what I mean.

Haven't bought a car in recent years, because I LOVE the hatchback style, which hasn't been out there until about last year.
Looking at the new Toyota or Honda hatchbacks, and drooling a bit....
