I love Santorum, but he lost didn't he?

Why, yes he did.

He and quite a few "solid conservatives" found themselves unemployed last year. Hmmm.

Doesn't matter who be pairs up with. Rudy does not play well with others. His photo is in the dictionary next to the definition of anal compulsive.

"So, this is more important than finding a Real Conservative candidate that can get this country back on track? "

How can a so-called Real Conservative" put this country on track, after he's been clobbered by Hitelry, and been forced to retire and go grow tomatoes in Florida?

"We are now allowing the media to dictate to us who the GOP candidate should be ? "

Nope.
Republicans will select the candidate that can beat Hitelry and prevent this country from being sent into the dark ages of a Hitelry presidency.

Will the True Conservatives™ cease fire and unify against our common opponent? Or will they act as spoilers?

First of all, if Rudy loses, it will be his fault and the fault of those in the GOP who, in response to the loss in 2006 from drifting leftward, found the solution was to turn even harder to port. The history is there but the Leftward, Ho! pubbies refuse to learn from it, setting up a likely repeat.

Second, a lot of conservatives will probably unenthusiastically vote for Rudy. But to win, the GOP will need those people motivated and enthused to donate and volunteer to drive the GOTV effort. Which is another reason why Rudy is such a bad choice.

Ask Rudy. He never outpolled Hillary in the 2000 NYC Senate race, even though he was sitting mayor of NYC and she was a cankled carpetbagger.

Uh, no. The Rudy bashing arises from the fact that Rudy is anti - RBKA, pro gay rights, pro abortion and pro-illegal aliens.

Aside from that he's wonderful. < sarcasm off >

While he loses the Red states in droves, and moves the GOP further left.

"He lost when the Dems finally ran a pro-lifer. "

He lost to a guy that was a liberal in practically every other way and has voted against the war in Iraq in th US Senate since taking his seat. He sure as heck didn't lose to a 'Real conservative" as you call it.

Please ... try ... to ... keep ... up.

I was discussing the pro-life Dem vote in PA. That is a vote that Rudy will NOT be able to swing over. Santorum lost that vote because the Dems finally ran a pro-lifer.

"The bad news: It's still over 18 months to go until Election 2008."

Yes, and the polls and people that waste any time with them are stupid if they think they mean anything.
I will start looking around summer of next year.

And Hitelry isn't?
Every candidate is pro gay rights. Gay rights and gay marriage is not the same thing. I haven't seen any candidate who is screaming for gays to be put in prison for being gay. If you have , let me know.

Loved until he says he's pro abortion and anti-gun. He's toast at the polls.

We owe it to our men and women in uniform to make SURE that the beast does win the white house...we've hoped for a strong candidate with name recognition to beat her, but the reality is there IS only one who can beat her and that's Rudy. My vote is what's best for our national security and for our troops. They know they'll get support from Rudy, but Hillary hates the military and treats them like scum!

"Please ... try ... to ... keep ... up."

Why don't you do that yourself?
Did this guy that replaced Santorum, vote for the so-called "non-binding" motion in the US Senate organist the ear in Iraq or not?
Answer: YES.
Is that guy a "Real Conservative" as you put it? Not a chance! Rudys is as solidly for the WOT as president Bush is.
As for Hitlery, she only just called for US troops to be withdrawing from Iraq in ..wait for it..90 days. No doubt in a craven attempt to win the moveon.org crazies over.

And Bob Dole was the most "electable" candidate in March of 1996. So we were told. The Dems can't wait for us to nominate this guy. The Stupid Party strikes again.

Gawd, is it IMPOSSIBLE for you to stay on topic? The subject is the claim that Rudy could put PA in play. You're either dense or obtuse on purpose here.

Once again, please show how Rudy could atract pro-life PA Dems.

You are now being absurd. Candidates can be in favor of a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage and not be looking to put gays in prison. You are now debating dishonestly without stupid hyperbole - unless that's all you've got.

A Rudy-triggered GOP split would put a fair number into play.
