If W could run for a 3rd term?(Vanity)(Poll)

Posted on 02/21/2007 9:29:07 PM PST by jeltz25

I was thinking about this and thought I'd get the opinion of FR. If there were no term linits, and W could run for a 3rd term, would he win the nomination? Would he have widespread conservative support? How much?

Putting to one side the organization/money card and assuming that that was all a wash, if the primary in 2008 shaped up as:

Bush McCain Romney Giuliani Gingrich Brownback Hunter Huckabee

Who would win? Would would you vote for? Who would be the best chance to win 2008?

I can firmly tell you ones I would not vote for and that is Rudy the homo lover, McScream, and Bush. Newt or Hunter are the only ones right now that I would consider, am considering.

If the border was secure and Sandy Berger was in a Federal Penitentiary I would consider it.

Oh and that Constitutional thingy.

I tend to agree regarding your first proposition, but what is "that Constitutional thingy?"

Probably Hunter as the best, McCain as the best frontrunner.

Despite the fact that I like many of the other candidates more than Bush, I would still vote for Bush. To kick Bush out of the race in the primaries as the Incumbent President during a Wartime is not only wrong, but show a sign of weakness to the Democrats and to the World. This would do America no good.

Yet, I would still hope he would have the sense to bow out.

I would vote Bush just to see how many cases of apoplexy would occur over in Demland.

I surely wouldn't vote for the free spending RINO. His administration has completely mismanaged Iraq, abandoned conservative principles and has given over Congress to the enemy.

I might even move to France. :)

Sold us out on social security reform?? Did you and I watch the same first year of the second term? Bush killed himself trying to convince the Congress to consider some degree of Privitization. In many ways, he ruined his Presidency on that very issue. You cannot put fault on him for falling to deliver on Social Security Reform, the blame rests solely with the 2005 Republican Congress. (Mostly Its RINOS)

He's lucky. He's got the Secret Service to guard his ranch. Other ranchers have to put up with the illegals doing damage, killing live stock, stealing, threats, injury, etc. Bush has armed agents to shoot them if they come near his pad in Crawford.

You know he might win, based on his commitment in the WOT.

The 22nd amendment.

Someone doesn't understand a hypothetical question.

No I don't think Bush could even get the nomination for a third term. Too many issues going on in the second term besides the WOT.

Bush has armed agents to shoot them if they come near his pad in Crawford.

But then they would be summarily arrested, with the illegals being granted immunity.
