Here's the tally so far - this vote sort of looks like the "attitude" that was being displayed here as we were heading for the loss of the House and Senate - third party and undecided, and stay home versus voting for a social R will result in a Democrat in the White House - trust me on this! Please don't let it happen. But, I'm beginning to believe that it will happen.
______
Looks like our true blue conservative did pretty well in our prior poll. Let's now see what happens if we nominate a social liberal who's okay with abortion, gay unions and gay rights is a gun grabber and is weak on illegal immigration. Who do you vote for in the general?
Composite Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 32.4% 1,424 Third party 28.6% 1,256 Undecided/praying 26.5% 1,164 Stay home 9.9% 435 Hillary, et al 2.5% 110 99.9% 4,389
Member Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 34.3% 780 Third party 28.3% 644 Undecided/praying 28.2% 641 Stay home 8.2% 187 Hillary, et al 1.1% 24 100.1% 2,276
Non-Member Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 30.5% 644 Third party 29.0% 612 Undecided/praying 24.8% 523 Stay home 11.7% 248 Hillary, et al 4.1% 86 100.1% 2,113
Joe Lieberman is a liberal who just happens to understand the danger of radical Islam. He would be worse than Giuliani on other issues.
Of course I support electing as many conservatives across the baord in all positions as much as possible everywhere all the time.
I also have to live in the real world presented to me vs the one I wish were the case.
One of my highest priorities along with electing as many conservatives as possible is keeping Bw*tch Shrillery out of the Whiite House by every legal means possible.
That probably means being realistic about the general Presidential election if Rudy is the GOP side.
I've been down the Perot road before. I do not plan to go back.
We just had a disaster of an election here in Iowa. I have no idea if the purists stayed home or not but if anyone is paying attention, they know what the Democrats have done to this state in one month.
So far they've passed a huge raise in the minimum wage. They're working on repealing Iowa's right-to-work law; repeal the ban on human cloning; they're in the process of raising the cig tax $1.00 a pack, expand gambling; provide for public financing of campaigns; passed an "anti-bullying" bill, which really provides special protections for homosexuals; they're trying to expand early childhood education to include newborns to three year olds plus mandatory preschool for all children.
These are just the issues I've thought of off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more. They have changed Iowa in the worst way in a very short period of time.
This proves the need for us to fight it out in the primay and then hang together to defeat the RATS. Otherwise they defeat us.
I agree that a Hillary Clinton presidency would be a disaster.
Thx.
Therefore, what do you suggest between now and then?
FREEPERS CAN have a big impact.
He's only conservative on foreign affairs, specifically the War on Terror. Otherwise he's even more liberal than the liberal Republican candidates.
Vote for a liberal - you'll get liberalism
Don't vote (D/L). Don't vote (R/L). Don't vote for a letter of the alphabet.
Vote for a philosophy.
Vote for a Conservative, and you'll get Conservatism.
OK, very logically stated, but what if a true conservative isn't running? Result - don't vote, get a liberal, right? So, your philosophy goes down the drain for years, right? It's insanity, right?
What is the difference between a moderate Republican and a liberal Republican?
Sounds good but there is a lot of overlapping. It's good to threaten them in the primaries. We need to be doing more of this.
Would it make you feel better if they have an "R" by their name? A liberal, is a liberal, is a liberal, and no matter how hard you try, you can't remove the "L" from Rudy's, John's or Mitt's name! Some have lied, at least one has cheated and all support things that God is against. Abortion, homosexuality, adultery, lies, etc.
IF we support them we support what they stand for, and the way my Bible reads is that we are told to have nothing to do with these kind of men, because we have NOTHING in common with them. Their actions can bring Judgment on America. THAT is the dilemma that Christians have. THAT is why Bible believing Christians can't vote for any one of them. None of them are going to be sitting in Judgment of me, so I have to do what pleases God, and if that puts Hillary into office, then so be it.
So, before people vote for RINOS, they need to take a look at their electability, because they are NOT going to make it without the "Religious Right." Perhaps those who are supporting RINOS/LIBERALS should move to the right and support CONSERVATIVES so that they don't put Hillary in as POTUS!
"Psychotically destructive"?
Charles, are you referring to me?
The vast majority of Rudy supporters would vote for Hilary if she put an "R" next to her name.
I don't know, are you psychotically destructive?
You have to admit, it's a pretty cool description though, right?
It's not a threat. I refuse to vote for a liberal, regardless of party, period.
Well, all of the voices in my head seem to like it.
;-)
If the Republican party nominates Giuliani, you are guaranteeing the "Perot road" again. Many of us will NOT under any circumstances vote for a liberal of either party. Since I will have NO vote in the primaries in selecting the nominee because PA holds their primary long after both parties have chosen their nominees, and because the voting has been rigged this time with CA and several other big liberal states thrown into the mix before the south has a say, the chances of getting a liberal nominee have been pre-arranged IMO. My choice will come in the general and for the very first time, I'm not going to hold my nose and vote for anybody the Republicans foist on us. I will vote 3rd party or not at all, and I'm NOT alone.
