[snip] Although he quit school at 16, Sulejman Talovic often attended Friday prayers at the Al-Noor mosque on 700 East in Salt Lake City,[ a block away from the mall] said Salih Omerovic, Ajka's cousin.
Salih Omerovic said the young man stopped coming to the prayers in December, when he landed a full-time job at Aramark Uniform Services in South Salt Lake. He said Sulejman Talovic's father had pressured his son to get a job to help out with the family's living expenses.
Imam Ali Mohamed, the spiritual leader at Al-Noor, said he does not know Talovic.
"I know some Bosnians, but specifically this person, I don't know him," said Mohamed, a Somali who has been in Utah since 2000.

The relative said the abrupt departure - one that left the imam "in shock" - was driven by something more than his marital issues. The imam, the relative said, had recently raised concerns about board finances, the exclusion of women from the board and the housing of "suspicious" individuals in the mosque.
Seriously, though, it would be nice to find out how much of a role Islam played in his motive.

The earlier story is rife with irony. How can it be domestic abuse if the Koran says it's alright to beat the hell out of your wife? How bad did the imam have to be that the OTHER MUSLIMS were offended enough to get rid of him? Who were the suspicious people he was letting stay in the mosque and where are they now? How suspicious do you have to be for other Muslims to alert on you? And what is this character up to in Chicago? Sounds like the authorities should have installed a Low-Jack in the guy before he left town.
Wonder if they're missing any police uniforms.
Religious figure arrested - Note the paper didn't put 'Muslim' in the title.
I guarantee you if it were a Catholic Priest or Mormon Bishop etc things would be different.
Note: I don't think Sulejman Talovic attended the Din's mosque (Khadeeja Mosque in West Valley City).
If you wish, run a search on "Din" at the SL Trib's Search Page
Every time the democrats want to bring up gun control, something like this conveniently happens. I wonder if there is a connection.
In these threatening times, one has to see the identifier, "muslim," with a red flag attached. Perhaps, his problems were personal and secret, but, perhaps, his actions were motivated by something more current and more sinister. Has anyone ever done a study of muslim brains? Could there be something seriously amiss with them? Is it possible that they could and, maybe, should be classified as incompetent or insane?
"Round up the usual suspects."
Deseret News hits "ultraconservative" websites for suggesting Salt Lake shooting was jihad-motivated
There is no record that Talovic attended any of the mosques in the Salt Lake area, according to both Tarek Mosseir, a spokesman for the Islamic Society of Greater Salt Lake, or Bobby Ravish of Muslim Forum.
Gee, I hope the LEOs didn't take their word for it.
Oh, it couldn't be anything like that. By all means marry nieces, marry them at Age 11! It's perfectly normal. Do it generation after generation, and everyone will be fine..
There isn't enough FBI living or dead to keep an eye on the activities of Muslims in this country. A rough estimate of 8 million would leave you with about 700,000 who could 'blow' at any time... and another 2 million who would 'dummy-up' for them.
The more I see of Islam's followers, I am convinced they are
doomed to be violent, intractable, and generally unfit to
live among civil societies.
Never realized a gun could influence anyone or shoot itself. I always thought they were just objects like rocks...maybe rocks and knives also are the culprit for murders. I guess guns, not heroic cops, ended the shooting spree.
Maybe they just need Rabies Vaccinations.
I'm still trying to view the video site must be getting tons of hits) - I can't confirm the Allah Akbar stuff.
I think the LDS beliefs are closer to the Religion of Peace than Christianity or Judaism.
"...Sulejman Talovic often attended Friday prayers at the Al-Noor mosque on 700 East in Salt Lake City, said Salih Omerovic, Ajka's cousin."
But in the Deseret Morning News (which is doing a heroic job to dismiss the Muslim connection), Talovic is said to be not much of a Muslim:
"...There is no record that Talovic attended any of the mosques in the Salt Lake area, according to both Tarek Mosseir, a spokesman for the Islamic Society of Greater Salt Lake, or Bobby Ravish of Muslim Forum.... "What I hear is that he came a couple of times at most, to Eid prayers, but I can't confirm that he came."
