Actually, the Russian quest for dominance predates the Cold War by several centuries. When the Christians fled to the East following the fall of Constantinople, the carried with them an obsession for regaining control of the Byzantine Empire. That eventually morphed into the expansionism of Russia under the Tsars and later the Communists.

"...Yes, what really gets your blood boiling apparently is the outrageous collaboration amongst the U.S., the European Nation and NATO to try to defend themselves from potential missiles launched from terrorist countries, indeed even rogue terrorist cells, at the U.S. and the rest of Europe..."

Both sides are saying each side has taken "provocative" measures but standing back and looking at things coolly...it is hard to imagine anything more provocative than assisting Iran's nuclear program and its missile program.

The elongated history of Russian expansionism indicates it's in the blood and far more must be expected.

Correct. "Prison of the peoples" naturally dislikes those who break out of the jail. With any luck, they will suffocate in their own civilizational exudates and go extinct.

So true, Putin is the best friend the Axis of Evil could ever dream of.

"How come Gorbachev is never mentioned?"

Good question, since Gorbachev (resides in the U.S.) 'advises' Putin on 'numerous issues'. When communist Gorbachev ruled the U.S.S.R. he was Putin's boss, while Vlad was a Col. in the KGB in repressive East Germany.

By the way, Gorbachev resides in the U.S.A. Now isn't that nice.....

The movement of "Gog" against Israel is predicted in book of Ezekiel. Many Biblical scholars have concluded that Gog is Russia. Many also interpret the conflict between Gog and Israel as culminating in the conflicts of the end times. C.I. Scofield documented that speculation in his Bible notes from 1909 and 1917.

I include the dates of that reference to point out that the prediction was not based on modern world developments. For instance, when Scofield produced his notes, the state of Israel would not exist for another 30 years.

It's incredible that he is living in America. More incredible that Gorbachev tag teams with Putin to undermine the security of the United States while doing it all on U.S. soil.

Check out Cap Weinberger's coauthored book 'The Next War'. In the fictional book, which I have, the damn Russians are behaving very badly as in invading Poland (again), NATO forces counter attack, but Russians continue rolling through Germany and France but England remains free, etc, etc.

Putin's actions with 'Persia' & 'Damascus' fit the bill in relation to Ezekiel. The clock is ticking.

Maybe Putin needs a History lesson. Ronald Reagan destroyed the Soviet Union with a military build up the Soviets went broke trying and failing to match. That USSR was a more potent force than Putin's Russia. Perhaps some major push for SDI, particle beam weapons and computer advances would either topple this low rent KGB refugee or make him quite a bit less anxious to restart the Cold War.

Russia's criminal occupation forces in Moldova and Georgia are in violation of both international law as well as Russian law since they ratified the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty. KGB Putin has no respect for even the laws of his own country. He is a war criminal. Withdraw your Soviet Red Army from your old Soviet bases in Europe, KGB.
