Here in Indy, Moveon.org is already running ads showing people claiming to be Iraq veterans who are against the war, and telling us to call our Sen and Reps and tell them not to support the troop surge.
It's worth keeping alive, folks need to know the truth.
Don't you think the surge troops will already be there before Murtha introduces this in a month, and couldn't they be finished in six months before their current funding expires?
The problem will come if Murtha gets his way on stopping future deployments because they "aren't adequately trained or equipped".
That means no rotations, the troops there now will not get replacements when they come back home. At least that's the gist of Murtha's slow-bleed plan. He thinks he can draw down troop levels by not allowing more to go over, at some point all that are there now will rotate back.
It's a cowards way of ending our presence there. He can claim he's concerned about the troops, while gutting their mission.

Don't overspecify your search. I would just search on the two words most likely to be found in any headline on the topic, "house war", and sort by date.
If you type in a whole title you might make a typo that kills it. If you type in too many words, you might miss matches the use 'Iraq' instead of 'war', for example.

BULL on both parts! The RATs cut off funding for the Vietnam war when we left and they won't hesitate to do it with Iraq.

That sounds like a plan to me. Heck, the Dems could even try to work in some more non-binding resolutions to keep their constituents happy in the meantime.
I would add also searching by " match all words" in addition to "order by post time". Using the first 3 or 4 words of an article title are usually all that's needed.
I've posted over 1,100 threads in my 6+ years around here and I can only recall posting a dupe 4 or 5 times.

This strategy would go nowhere if we had Republicans willing to stand up and call them the traitorous cowards they are in pulling this.
The dems would move on and come up with a different plan, they'll never quit working for America's defeat.
