Join Rudy 2008 ^ | Feb 13th, 2007 | Press Release

New York, Feb 13 -

In a sign of continuing momentum, the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee today announced Congressman David Dreier, Chairman of the California Republican Congressional Delegation and House Rules Committee Ranking Republican, has announced his support for Mayor Rudy Giuliani to be the next President of the United States. Dreier’s endorsement follows the rousing reception Mayor Giuliani received at the California State Republican Convention and his successful swing through the state. Dreier will help lead Mayor Giuliani’s exploratory committee efforts in California.

Congressman Dreier said, “America needs the proven leadership of Rudy Giuliani to tackle the difficult challenges our country is facing. Not only does Mayor Giuliani have a record of results, he has a positive, optimistic vision that can unite our Party and our country for the greater good.

“I am proud to be supporting Mayor Rudy Giuliani for President and am looking forward to helping the exploratory committee’s efforts in any way I can,” concluded Dreier.

Mayor Rudy Giuliani welcomed the support from Congressmen Dreier. “I’m excited to have a Republican leader like Congressman Dreier on our team.” This endorsement comes on the heels of Congressman Pete Sessions and former Congresswoman Susan Molinari joining Team Rudy, as well as the previously announced support of California Congressman Devin Nunes and Congresswoman Mary Bono. More California endorsements will be announced later in the week.

The more spam that is posted, the worse FR looks and the worse FR looks, the worse its reputation gets. I am horrified to see this happen to FR, but can do nothing to stop it.

Definitely.

I've been to many, many charitable events where the local mayor, church members, priests, selectman, etc., have dressed in drag to raise money for a specific event. These men have dressed in drag as waitresses and served the "common folk" who turn out in droves to see their locals looking goofy.

It's a great way to raise money and have fun at the same time. I think some of these freepers need to get out a little more often.

Now who makes laws?

Congress.

They sent two PBA bans to Clinton, who vetoed them.

And they sent a ban to Bush who signed it.

Which shows the importance of having a pro-life president.

This must be the twentieth time I have had to explain the concept to Rudy boosters. It get tiresome.

I know you speak from experience.

Yes, just like you couldn't back up one of your more scurrilous claims a few posts ago. Interesting, that.

How can I be sure about anything with regard to Hunter. We weren't permitted to see the claim, the evidence or the refutation because the mod on duty that day/night must believe in censorship.

Once again, you promulgated a false allegation against Hunter yet refuse to refute such. Don't lecture us about how FR looks after you've personally crapped on the rugs here.

LMAO, cranky, i didn't whine.

You are getting SLAMMED here. I never made the accusation, I asked you a question, and gave you the floor to refute the claim. However, you don't even deny it. I though you would appreciate that, but you are just so mean, you couldn't see that.

I'm just stunned at the serial spamming and the juvenile pictures. It's like stumbling into Animal House.

Do you categorically deny mashing abuse against posters you disagree with?

How can I be sure about anything with regard to Hunter.

It was resolved to the satisfaction of the mods here.

Let's see. Mary Bono and Devin Nunes support Giuliani.

I can't wait for the next supported - the Gubernator himself?

Perhaps even Diane Frankenfeinstein and Barbara Boxer.

LOL, sorry, forgot my glasses at work. Cute diversion tactic. Right out of the troll playbook.

I didn't think you'd actually be able to answer the question. No, I KNEW you wouldn't!

Why be sorry about a legitimate concern? I'd love to see the borders sealed.

You're changing the subject. The subject was whether I hit abuse on freepers who supported candidates I don't like, which I've categorically said I've never done. Ever.

Unlike the weenie whiners around here who continuously ping JR and the mods that we like a Republican they don't like.

But keep lying and changing the subject. It's all you have.

Rep. Pete Sessions support/endorses Rudy. Sessions has a 98% lifetime conservative rating.

Former Solicitor General Ted Olson supports Rudy and says: (From the article at The Spectator):

"I've known him for 26 years and we've talked about this many times," Olson said. "He feels very strongly that people like Justice Scalia, Chief Justice Roberts, Sam Alito, Clarence Thomas, are the type of people that he would put on the court…I'm quite convinced that this is a genuine viewpoint that he has."

There are others, but it's late and I just wanted to see how freepers are going to start trashing good Republicans and conservatives who endorse Rudy. It's been quite enlightening to watch.

Rudy will appeal to those voters who will never visit the Free Republic. The media will shape most of their opinions. Rudy knows how to play the media and appeal to those who have only a surface perspective of the political scene. What we have is confidence that Rudy will deliver the correct policy with Iraq and good Supreme Court nominees. And, Rudy will deliver on fiscal policy.

It doesn't appear that Hunter is even a Defendant. Here is the "smoking gun":

"In 1994, at the instance of Representative Hunter, the government authorized and funded a Study known as the Automated Document Conversion Study to establish and approve a Government Contractor base for document conversion services, including master to vector conversion of engineering drawings. Mr. Hunter directed that this study be implemented by CACI, Inc. (a respected government consultant and contractor, and make recommendations to implement the program."

There is no "there" there. It is the null set.
