The co-founder of the Gaydar brand has been found dead outside his south London apartment.
Gary Frisch, who launched the online dating website in 1999, was found lying injured on the ground outside his Commodore House flat on Saturday.
Police are investigating whether the 38-year-old, from South Africa, fell or jumped from his eighth floor balcony.
A Wandsworth CID spokeswoman said the death was "unexplained". The death is not being treated as suspicious.
'Highly regarded'
Prior to launching Gaydar, Mr Frisch co-founded IT consultancy firm QSoft, after moving to the UK from South Africa in 1997.
In a statement, QSoft's directors said: "It is with great regret that we make this announcement. Gary was a highly regarded leader and colleague who cared first and foremost about the gay and lesbian community that we serve.
"He was an accomplished entrepreneur and a very generous man who also cared deeply about the people who worked for and with him."
A spokesman for QSoft said an event planned to take place in London this Thursday to mark the fifth birthday of GaydarRadio would go ahead as planned.

Feathers and chocolate don't really mix well... Yeah, but given the circumstances he's not the one that will have to clean up.

True, but I was thinking that getting poked with slimy, chocolate-coated feathers might be unpleasant, pre-death.

Poor choice of the word "flat" here ;-0. Yes, but is that any better than the headline using "Gaydar" and "probe" in the same sentence?

Statistically, a 10 foot fall has a 50% fatality rate. Wow. I must have killed a lot of people by throwing off the odds when repeatedly successfully jumping off a 10' garage roof.

Me too. In all fairness the statistics are skewed by people who trip and fall and bang their haids on a rock or something.
They count as having fallen zero feet...

"32 feet per second per second. It's not just a good idea. It's the law." Yep...but in our atmosphere drag will eventually slow things down. Based on what I know of free fall parachutists, I believe the typical human body tops out at around a little over 200 mph...of course the individual's position, clothing type and a few other variables can effect that + or - a little...
