MEXICO, N.Y. (AP) -- Ray DeLong took advantage of a break from the snow to use a blower to forge a path to his driveway as two contractors pushed streams of snow from the roof of his home. The brief reprieve Friday ended early Saturday as snow fell at a rate of 2 to 3 inches per hour, further burying a region already tested by nearly record snowfalls.
"Have to move fast. Want to at least get it off my roof," DeLong said, just hours before more flakes began to fall.
More than a week of bitter cold and slippery roads have contributed to at least 20 deaths across the northern quarter of the nation - five in Ohio, four in Illinois, four in Indiana, two in Kentucky, two in Michigan, and one each in Wisconsin, New York and Maryland, authorities said. No deaths were reported in Oswego County, where Mexico is located, however.

Where is the smartest senator in the world, Hellery, during this crisis? She should be leading the relief effort, or at least doing a photo op with one shovelful of snow on someone's roof, but she's probably giving a "Bush is responsible for global warming" speech somewhere in Florida.
Holy moly!
Why is Hoax entered as a keyword?
The Mayor, you said this was true, right?
global warming causes global cooling
Wasn't this the New York that was complaining how there was no winter this year just a few weeks ago?
Prayers were answered?
Still Bush's fault.
Photoshopped? ;-)
The 100 inches of snow in NY is all photoshopped? That would make shovelers happy ;)
Were have had 10 day(?) of sub zero temps. here in Mpls...tell me again how global warming is a bad thing.
When do they get their $2000 FEMA cards> Need to shop for some ski wear dontcha know.
It's not difficult to understand how we have Her Heinous, Chucky Cheese Schumer, Spitzer, Cuomo, Silver and Bruno for elected officials with geniuses like that pulling voting levers.
Some years ago, a recent homebuyer in upper Westchester was concerned about the several feet of snow that had built up on the roof of his two storey house, most of which wasn't that steeply sloped, thus increasing the level of accumulation.
Somewhat ingeniously, he hoisted his Toro snowblower up to the roof, where he proceeded to clear the area. As luck would have it, he hit an icy patch, slid off the roof, fell about 20', but escaped unscathed as he landed atop some hedges and snowbanks. Unfortunately for this poos soul, about 30 second later, the snowblower slid off the roof, and landed on his head. He suffered a concussion, abroken shoulder, and severe scalp lacerations.
Furthermore, global warming can create an issue whereby the lakes are still unfrozen because of higher temperatures in January and February. If the lake is unfrozen, when a blast of cold air comes across the lake, the moisture is absorbed and then dumped on the poor city of Oswego in this case, or Buffalo in other times.
Here in Connecticut, I have no snow, and we haven't gotten more than a dusting yet this year.
Guess you haven't heard the lastest on global warming..... moonbats are out there saying that GLOBAL WARMING causes frigid temps and all that snow. They certainly covered everything.
