This is another government agency telling kids "We expect you will act like an animal and be unable to control yourselves." What's next the contraception chip shot into girls arms when the reach ten?
Logan's Run. Die at 21.
I don't care where I live by the time my younger girls get to this age, they will not be getting this vaccination. My oldest turns 17 tomorrow, so I am beyond it with her, but my younger ones??? Nope.
"Informed consent? Who cares? We own stock in Merck."
But I thought Perry was a great conservative - that's what I kept hearing on FR before the election...
Sheeple.
Gotta keep these kids clean from disease so their teachers can have sex with them.
Perry's vaccine ping.
Comp to think of it, aren't most of the vaccines finished well before this age?
He didn't just make a mistake. He was flat arrogant about it.
If we can eliminate 70% of cervical cancer through this vaccination, I don't see the downside in such a vaccination.
However I do have qualms about the relative newness of the drug and the government mandate.
Notice how he waited until the election was over to decide this was the wise thing to do?
I'd have to be carted off to jail then. My daughters would never be subjected to a government forced injection of ANY kind.
It's good if you're a Merck stockholder.
"This will keep you from getting a bad disease. Just like the shots you got for diptheria, whooping cough, polio, measles, mumps and chicken pox when you were little. "
Is it really that freaking complicated?
Chris Bell praised Goodhair's move. 'Nuff said.
Maybe Governor Kinky wouldn't have been such a bad idea, after all.
The vaccine may be a good idea, but there needs to be parental consent, not any of this state mandated rubbish.
Regards, Ivan
I remember when I was very young; we received polio vaccines at school which I hated; but I don't remember that they were mandated or not.
That it is to prevent some types of cancer.
How hard is that? And if you simply opt out, you don't even have to do that.
I don't agree with Perry's action on this, but the typical Freeper harping, handwringing, and hysteria over each outrage de jour is ridiculous. Plug-n-play misery, oh how you have been abandoned to wander in the wilderness and die.
Once again Gov. Perry's skull confirms the archetectual strength of the dome by showing how it can support a large amount of weight on top (hair & ego) while containing nothing supportive underneath....
...as do the skulls of those who voted for him in the last election.
Perry plans to screw all of Texas...he's just starting with the young girls first...
I voted for Perry because I was not given a viable option (Kinky? Grandma?) but I object to this and I think he has made a huge mistake. I am not saying the vaccine is necessarily a bad thing but we needed discussion and we got NONE.
