(CNSNews.com) - Weeks after accusing President Bush of "shameful" behavior over the imprisonment of two Border Patrol agents who shot an unarmed suspected drug smuggler along the U.S.-Mexico border, a federal lawmaker turned up the heat further Wednesday, suggesting the president should be impeached if either of the two men is murdered in prison.

But then we weren't talking a War on Terror or War on Drugs ...whatever the current buzz word is.
(And that's all it is anyway)
I would say the scenario you posited is pretty dam accurate.
"....when you allow the media to push your buttons".
A couple of weeks spent in the Houston area would change your cavelier attritude toward the illegal immigration problem.
So many of them are now illegally voting in Harris County that the largest Conservative Republican County in the Country is about to swing over to the Dims. No later than 2010 and very possibly 2008. The whole state won't be too far behind. Without Texas, the Republican Party will never win another Presidential election.
Bush has ruined the GOP.
Way to go Republicans in Congress, shooting themselves in the foot, again! Why don't they just concentrate on THEIR OWN JOBS, and do what they're supposed to do! Maybe they would still be in the majority if they'd done that all along!
I make no such assumption. One does not need to make such an assumption in order to note how hot-button issues that are raised and flogged on talk radio and/or blogs get large numbers of people going in a desired direction.
In your own round about way you manage to throw in your fair share of name calling.
Oh really?! So, to reflect back at people the term they use to characterize themselves is "name calling." Come on. You're a better person than to resort to trying to pick a fight on something so flimsy.
I think we are splitting hairs, and there probably isn't much different what each of us is getting at. BTW, to observe that our land borders have always been wide open is not the same as saying they should be today given the era in which we live and challenges we face as a nation.
But, leaving that aside, then perhaps the president will do some shuffling around and get rid of this prosecutor; though it doesn't appear, from that snippet, that the person edged out was on the same level.
Regarding your question concerning Ted Poe.
Rep. Poe was a long time State District Judge in Harris County. He was known as a hardline no nonsense Judge who used innovative sentencing. He ordered Domestic Abusers to wear "sandwich" type signs that read "I am an abuser" and stand outside the Courthouse. For one murderer, he ordered that a picture of his victem be placed on the wall of his cell so that he could contemplate his crime daily. There are so many examples of this type that they are too numerous to list.
As a Judge, he was the most popular Politician in Harris County and had no problem when he ran for Congress.
I hate it when a politician loses his cool. Congressman Rohrbacher obviously isn't ready for prime time.
I hate to believe that President Bush is being horribly advised by someone that has had incestuous affairs with President Vicente Fox's socialist government?
Time to build a big fence, get these guys out of jail where they are being beat up, Give them their dignity and jobs back and give them the tools they need to stop drug dealers from making a mockery out of our border security.
But there was no quota system (except from China-Japan-Asia) for any group till the 1920's.
Hey, when you get beaten in jail, I promise not to whine and moan.
When a nation of free peoples are threatened by "invasion", and make no mistake-unknown persons, illegals crossing the borders, is a defacto "invasion", it is incumbent on the citizenry to defend its homeland. It is very clear the government is unable, unwilling or incapable of securing the borders. In light of world events, such inability is borderline treason. This nation, and her people, must be safe and secure from unknowns who walk among us.
He's not defending the borders because he's a globalist. And because certain segments of our government (that include Demolicans and Republicrats) are far more corrupt than many people realize. This is what some of us have been saying for many years. I'm glad to see some people are finally beginning to catch on! lol!
DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
President Bush should be impeached, and then deported. He has completely destroyed the Republican party, and probably the conservative movement. The lives of these BP agents is just a small example of his "don't care" attitude for our America. He should move to the middle east since that is his life's focus.
That would be my hope. And as a matter of fact, I have asked.
Or up the dosage...
.
Good. I voted for him twice, at this point, I could careless about what happens to him...what goes around comes around.
SECURE OUR BORDERS, NOW.
MARCH TO TAKE BACK AMERICA!!
(for those looking for updates, Glenn Beck has been covering this story extensively...7pmEST)
