Well, yeah. The popular music did. Just like it does today. The manufactured product. But there was a whole lot more going on then, just like there is now.

There was Great music from the 80's. You may consider it all "hair" music, rightfully so. big hair and big sound. It had a message. It was positive. It was loud. It motivating. It was Van Halen, Def Leopard, White Snack, Cinderella, and Areosmith's come back.
80's music was American.
