No. Years ago I worked very hard to see a very nice man elected as Governor. He turned out to be very much pro-abortion. I promiced the Lord I would never again support someone who believes it's okay for a woman to kill her baby.

This is nothing compared to the aftermath of the Goldwater v. Rockefeller fight and the 1964 election loss to LBJ. IMO.

Today citizens have ways of staying in touch and united against common enemies. Most Americans belonged to the other party back then. But the other major party is no longer the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party, it truly is a Rat Party run by people who have "moved beyond being Americans". IMO.

Thus today entities such as the ACLU, NOW and NARAL no longer are gatekeepers of information with the help of the old media. Even back then their ilk did not win.

Remember, a Republican won in 1968 and won 49 of the 50 states in 1972.

They have nobody anywhere near as articulate or intellectual as Newt or with the git-er-done record of Giuliani or Romney.
