FACE THE NATION (CBS): NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb.; Sarah Ferguson, the duchess of York.

What he was referring to today was when he was asked in 2004, during the POTUS campaign if he regretted his vote to go to Iraq.
Timmy showed a video of him saying that "NO..he doesn't regret that vote in 2002, that Saddam still needed to be taken out"..
When Timmy asked him today...if he regretted what he said in 2004...Edwards said today..that at the time of that video, the campaign was crazy, plus his wife had cancer so he can't be held responsible for that response.
And the general public bought that line
Good post about your argument with liberals
I would still like to find a solid conservative who can bend to the middle occasionally when it's needed over a so-called moderate who claims he can bend to the right as the current crop of GOP candidates are all doing. Our moderate Republicans have a hard time defending conservative values because they really don't believe in them. As a result, they get tripped up when questioned.
re: McConnell/Hewitt
Not only that... Did you see that Mc just did not get what the resolution would do to the troops? I was flabbergasted.
True. Good point.
Never feel bad about criticizing any of these....the seven Republicans in the GO14. Two down....
Good point he cannot forget his roots in Congress and seems to want that to be the more powerful arm of government not co-equal
WOW! THANKS! GREAT INFO!
well-- if this is the case then we are ALL on the plantation....
The Dems have a plantation, and the Republicans have a plantation...
I love how folks consider people like me a "100%'er"....
too funny..to me it seems the opposite..to me- I see the Republican no matter what as the 100%er...no strength to stand for right vs wrong...but just right Dem vs Republican..and is that mentality that keeps this country marching so far to the left...
what is "100%'er" about protecting the sovereignty of this nation? I want the borders protected, and life protected. AT THE BARE MINIMUM! ANY candidate in Washinton, DC who cannot agree to THAT BARE minimum is just flat our scary....
strangely enough..80% of the American people want our borders protected. that is both Dem and Republican..so no matter WHAT party is in control, how on earth does this not get done? LOBBYISTS! The LaRaza nutball Lobbyists for illegal rights, and the BIG CORPORATIONS that want cheap labor...not even just cheap UN-skilled labor- but cheap SKILLED labor too!...
it's just plain out of control in DC and I am just plum sick of it....
/rant off...
I agree
How sad. I hope my daughter stays as conservative as she is now. She doesn't take any trash from anybody.
It would be interesting to find out the date of that video clip but he was clever enough to have a clip shown after he knew she going to tests for cancer even if it had not been announced.
posted here too.....
I think there is a smidgin of "Dole-syndrome" in the republican leadership...they think it's McCain's turn. Who knows how many deals he has cut in his years in the senate with how many republicans of every stripe, and pay-back time is coming.
If you look out VIPS and all the 'intel analysts' out in the open everywhere and those left over inside from the Clinton Administration... what does that tell you?
Scary indeed.
I know I read the Bernie Sanders, Jon Tester, maybe Klobachar and Cashill.
I wish I had saved that article.
If you haven't found anything on it...it could be because it is so new it hasn't developed a "trail" or...maybe they are just in the talking stage.
OR..maybe they were told by the Dem leadership to hold off until a later time.
I will see if I can find what I read about it..and let you know, okay?
Maybe we should go back to a good Democrat-style war, like the Korean war. In Truman's War, many of the servicemen were young draftees.
I thought that Webb completely forgot about Iran's view of Israel. It sounded to me that Webb wanted to sell Iran as a would be ally on the WOT but then President Bush called them evil and they backed out of a helpful position. This tells me that Webb is anti Israel, therefore a typical liberal heathen.
okay.....I understand that logic....
ugh, how painful to think that McCain would be viewed as better than Newt....
That is a fact. We have the retired 60's hippies crowd here. They have taken over in 85% of Austin and many parts of Travis county. There are a few parts of resistance in the outlying communities.
I like Haley...and the fact that he was also once the RNC Chairman doesn't hurt...but, he has indicated he doesn't want to run, right?
