I like Haley...and the fact that he was also once the RNC Chairman doesn't hurt...but, he has indicated he doesn't want to run, right?
To his credit, Haley has said he wants to finish the rebuilding and recovery from Katrina.....presumedly without whining to Washington.
Yes, and his reluctance to run is a plus.
Perhaps he will see it as his duty and show his fellow citizens what a real deal he is as opposed to the Repub and Dem prom queens.
Hillary is a disturbing element in the process. When she first got to the Senate she could be seen on C-Span drifting around the Senate floor, pausing to look over the shoulders of other Senators going over a position paper, never engaging, wandering up to her seat, being stopped by staff offering her copies of bills being considered and shaking her head, no, then being seen slumped at her desk, idly tapping a pencil, or chin in hand staring off.
Her staff, in D.C. and N.Y., continued to churn out press releases about their busy, busy, oh so committed boss, whose presence in the Senater chamber was as a dissatisfied, restless member of a large group, unbearable to her and her mania for unshared power.
She is a real and present danger to our free republic because her longing for the power of the presidency goes beyond healthy ambition.
Bill Clinton knows her. His legacy to a grateful posterity would be his stopping her.
Haley could make her show her true colors. She couldn't pull her "plantation" libel on a guy from Mississippi who is repected by blacks and whites.
