WASHINGTON - Republicans looking at Rudolph Giuliani's campaign for president always ask two questions - is he really running, and is he a "real Republican?"
They're probably not going to like the answers found by Newsday in Giuliani's government filings.
The ex-mayor still is holding back from submitting the simple one-page form declaring himself a possible candidate, despite raising $1.4 million to run. And asked what party he belongs to on a different form, Giuliani didn't say - he left the answer blank.

LOL.
Note: I had to heavily edit the title to get it to fit in FR's parameters.
I didn't see this previously posted. If this was previously posted, my apologies in advance for the duplicate.
Grist for the mill.
Maybe he's running an honest campaign and he's having difficulty telling us..."Socialist". That fool from Vermont can run as his VP.
One down, two [Mitt & Johnny] to go.
Maybe he is just waiting for his endorsements from NARAL, Planned Parenthood, Queer Nation and NAMBLA.
But hopefully reality will set in and the Mayor and his ilk will see that it isn't going to happen for them in the present Republican party--just ask President Colin Powell...
For your enjoyment.
If you look closely, you can see Rudy's ex-wife/cousin over there on the right. She's wearing the hat.
He could easily win int primaries. The democratic ones. Maybe this is where he plans to run against Hitlary.
Dear albie,
LOL.
As a registered Republican, this left me cold:
"Giuliani's campaign confirmed that leaving off the Republican designation wasn't a typo. It was the campaign's 'judgment that we didn't have to fill in that box,' said a campaign lawyer. The lawyer said an update filed Wednesday lists him as a Republican, though that form couldn't be found on the Federal Election Commission Web site."
What would have been the big deal to declare himself a Republican on the first form?
It's a little thing, but considering that Mr. Giuliani hardly finds himself universally accepted by grassroots conservatives, at the very least, it was a stupid thing to do.

Just an oversight you say? Please, no more wise cracks, sitetest.
(Sniffle) Truth is, Rudy has an identity problem (sob).
Dang it all, it's hard for Julie-Annie to make the Big Decision-----to decide whether or not he is, in fact, a "Republican." Seeing as how Julie is pro-gay, anti-life, and for gun confiscation.
It's only natural he's reticent to align himself with "right-wing" Republicans.
Heck, with some good professsionl counseling, Rudy will find his "true self," and declare as a Democrat.
Sounds like Rudy maybe going one step further then Arnold. Arnold isn't a partisan anylonger. Ya know. LOL
Btw, where's my PING?! ;^)
HE'S NOT A REPUBLICAN!
"But hopefully reality will set in and the Mayor and his ilk will see that it isn't going to happen for them in the present Republican party--just ask President Colin Powell..."
You better hope you're wrong.
In spite of the juvenile comments by so called "real conservatives", as of now, Rudy is still the only candidate who will beat the Psycho Whore.
You guys better be more concerned about who in hell else is going to carry the R banner instead of trashing Rudy.
Please let me know WHY at this crucial time in the history of this Republic, there is no viable candidate that you can support?
Do you think it's too early?
Are you one of those who thinks Duncan Hunter is going to all of a sudden become a household name?
98% of American doesn't even know who he is while Shillary is out there in full swing and with more cash than anyone else.
Tick....tick.....tick.....
Newsday isn't credible to make any assumptions whatsoever.
He'd be a great Democrat.
In fact if the Democrats ran somebody like him, I'd feel a lot better for the country...
Sorta like Zell Miller for President: A Democrat even Republicans could love...
Dear Reagan Man,
"Btw, where's my PING?! ;^)"
LOL!
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea MAXIMA culpa.
;-)

The more people know about Rudy, the less viable he becomes. Glad we have a real candidate, Hunter!
