As a registered Republican, this left me cold:

The lawyer said an update filed Wednesday lists him as a Republican, though that form couldn't be found on the Federal Election Commission Web site."
What would have been the big deal to declare himself a Republican on the first form?
It's a little thing, but considering that Mr. Giuliani hardly finds himself universally accepted by grassroots conservatives, at the very least, it was a stupid thing to do.
