Don't you love that answer? :) Who can say the same, in the same way and MEAN IT?

...From Boston.com On Friday, an e-mail from Mitt Romney’s sons suggested that whoever the Republican presidential nominee is will have to raise $100 million. Hunter said he wouldn’t need to raise that kind of money because “most of that money goes to pay for consultants that help them look like they are conservative and I am conservative already."

Hunter's quote is dumb. The money is not to make people believe a candidate is a conservative but to make them KNOW who the candidate IS. Talk about whistling past the graveyard.

Don't be too sure about that. Many people have had to drop out of races because they can't raise enough cash to run. Take a look back at all the other presidential races. It takes plenty of money to run a good campaign - I hope he is aware of that.

Hilarious! If he really believes what he said in that quote one would have to question his judgment. This guy is either living in a dream world or he's just found a cute way of deflecting concern for his lack of money.

It's about getting out there and letting people know who you are, without money he isnt going anywhere... let alone the White House.

You all ask the tough questions of Rudy which is correct but none of you seem to question Hunter because he is Chairman of Armed Services. Why not? Why not put all our candidates under the same microscope that you are putting Rudy? You all blindly follow a candidate without any hesitation. Afraid of what you might find with other candidates?

We know Rudy's background and I still support him. I did an in-depth study of Rudy and every candidate before deciding to support him because I believe he is the best man for the job. I could care less if someone has been divorced -- don't walk in their shoes. I do care about someone standing up with a spine to take on the WOT.

No, most of that money doesn't "go to consultants that help them look like they are conservatives..............." and anyone who is a candidate, who says that and those silly enough to believe that candidate, really are political naifs, who have no understanding of how our political system works.

Reagan was a Conservative, wasn't he? And yet, he had consultants and PR guys and paid teams in the ground......all of the things that are NEEDED to win a primary and/or a general election and he was WELL KNOWN.

So tell me why Hunter scoffs at the money needed to run; I dare you to explain just WHY he is "better" than Reagan. LOL

OMG, is this guy kidding?

Hunter said he wouldn’t need to raise that kind of money because “most of that money goes to pay for consultants that help them look like they are conservative and I am conservative already."

I see, and I suppose everyone in America knows who he is and knows all about him. If he's relying on the media to make himself known and to spread his message to the electorate, he is dreaming. In this day and age you need a lot of money to get your message out, to advertise, etc. Without money, it is very difficult to be a credible presidential candidate.

Even an admired and very well known political figure needs a great deal of money to run a competitive campaign. For better or for worse, that's how things work in politics
