Lebanese army fire on Israeli bulldozer near border
Act of war. "Lebanese army fire on Israeli bulldozer near border: TV," from Xinhua, with thanks to Mackie:
The Lebanese army fired at an Israeli bulldozer when it was trying to cross a border area late Wednesday night, Lebanese Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV station reported.
The report quoted Lebanese military officials as saying that their troops opened fire with machine guns on an Israeli bulldozer after the vehicle crossed a southern border area and entered about 20 yards into Lebanon.
There was no report of casualties, it added.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israel's Army Radio reported that Lebanese troops fired on Israeli forces as they scoured the area for bombs planted by Hezbollah guerillas.
On Monday, Israeli army said it had discovered four explosive devices that had recently been planted by Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas but the Shiite group denied the allegation, saying that the bombs were planted before outbreak of the 34-day conflict with the Jewish state on July 12.
Oh. That makes it all right.

BUILDING HOUSING SUSPECTED TERRORISTS HIT IN AIR STRIKE NEAR ARAB JABOUR
Release Date: 2/8/2007
Release Number: 07-01-03P
Description: BAGHDAD, Iraq - Coalition Forces conducted an air strike Wednesday targeting an al-Qaida in Iraq-related vehicle-borne improvised explosives devices network near Arab Jabour.
Intelligence reports indicated that this network is responsible for a large and devastating number of VBIED attacks in the Baghdad area. They are also responsible for IED and sniper attacks conducted against the Iraqi people and Iraqi and Coalition Forces.
As Coalition Forces approached the targeted building they came under intense enemy fire. Ground forces assessed seven suspected terrorists were in the targeted building. Coalition Forces determined the targets too hostile for ground troops and called for air support. Two precision guided munitions were dropped destroying the targeted building and an associated structure.
Coalition Forces continue to tear apart the al-Qaida leadership inside Iraq. This operation significantly reduces this VBIED terrorist network's ability to operate, and increases the safety of all Iraqi citizens, Iraqi forces, and Iraq's Multi-National partners.

1991 to 1996 : (SUDAN : TRAINING CAMPS ARE OPEN FOR AL QAEDA) From 1991 to 1996, the years when Bin Laden used to live in Sudan, training camps were open for Al-Qaida. The largest camp was near Soba, 10km south of Khartoum along the Blue Nile. It was a highly restricted area of about 20 square acres. Iranians based in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley were among the trainers, while the trainees came from Algeria, Tunisia, Bosnia, Chechnya, the Philippines, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Eritrea. Ethiopia, Uganda and Somalia. All these terrorists were trained to use explosives and many of them left to Bosnia, Chechnya, Somalia and to the west bank.

Senior Official at Iraq Ministry of Health Detained; 13 Terrorists Killed
American Forces Press Service
WASHINGTON, Feb. 8, 2007 Coalition forces captured a Ministry of Health senior official, killed 20 terrorists and detained five others in operations around Iraq over the past two days.
At a Ministry of Health office in the Rusafa district of Baghdad today, special Iraqi army forces captured a senior official with alleged ties to the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia. The suspect is connected to the deaths of several other Ministry of Health officials, including the ministrys director general in Diyala province, military officials said.
The suspect reportedly orchestrated several kickback schemes by using inflated contracts for ministry equipment and services. These kickbacks, which officials believe have funneled millions of U.S. dollars to miitia elements, support sectarian attacks and violence targeting Iraqi civilians, U.S. officials said.
The suspect is believed to support the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia through large-scale employment of its members. He also has been accused of openly intimidating and threatening ministry officials who disagree with him and question his actions.
Elsewhere in Iraq today, coalition forces killed an estimated 13 terrorists northeast of Amiriya during an air strike targeting a senior foreign-fighter facilitator. During the operation, coalition forces detained five suspected terrorists and found a cache containing armor-piercing ammunition.
Yesterday in Iraq, coalition forces conducted an air strike near Arab Jabour, killing seven al Qaeda in Iraq network members responsible for vehicle-borne improvised explosives devices, military officials said. The network allegedly is responsible for numerous improvised explosive device attacks in the Baghdad area and for sniper attacks against Iraqi army elements, coalition forces and Iraqi civilians.
