Ah yes, the Murdoch empire yet again shills for this corrupt Rockefeller Republican.

This Coogine can stay in private practice. Keep him among the LIBERAL voters of NY who elected him.

More Pollster propaganda.

Rudi's lack of military service, his failed family life, his recent conversion from anti-2nd amendment positions and his former support of gay marriage puts him way into my uncomfortable zone.

So lets just not even bother with primaries, and just anoint the poll winner 20 months before the election...sheesh.

Hello Dark Skies, I wouldn't believe that for a minute. That poll was probably for NYC. :>)

Well, the pundits have been saying since the election that conservatism has imploded and that 2008 will see the end of conservatism - and a return to "moderation" - in the GOP. I hate to believe it, but the mania for Rudy (he can win, man, WIN!) seems to confirm it. Too bad. FReepers are becoming Yellow Dog Republicans, I guess.

It's early in the primary season at best but like it or not this where the populace falls at this time... For some there is major ground to be made up and for others there is major ground that can be lost. Time will tell who will make up ground and who will lose.

The Poll in question

 18. – 23. Now I am going to read a list of possible candidates for the next presidential
race. For each one, please tell me how comfortable you would be having that person as
president. (RANDOMIZE) SCALE: 1. Extremely comfortable 2. Very comfortable
3. Somewhat comfortable 4. Not very comfortable 5. Not at all comfortable 6. (Don’t know)

                         --- Comfortable --- - Not comfortable -
Extmly Vry Smwht Nt vry Not (Don’t know)

Independents 7% 21 22 12 37 2

I'm not surprised at the poll, it represents what I hear from people in my area. Of course according to some around here being New Yorkers probably disqualifies them!!!

Does any of this really matter that much right now?? Dick Morris is out there making predictions that cover the next 20 years already. All of this is just meaningless speculation.

Don't let Rudy's charisma blind you.

Remember 1992 when voters voted for "charisma."

9 percent of Republicans are sorry that Kerry will not be a candidate.

I'm surprise this figure is only 9%.
