So how far back does the Free Republic archive articles and how can I go back and find some of the first threads that started the whole thing off ?

It struck me I've hung out for a while and it was well established when I joined.

Be fun to see what we were focused on day one. For me anyway.

Yes, but FR did as well. Copyright infringement lawsuits and early server and/or software problems, as I understand it.

No, it was another Harry. He died of alcoholism I think. But he posted up to just about the day he died - alone. Quite sad really.

And for some reason, I think Nittany Lion knows who I am talking about. He had a funny LONG freeper name.

But I remember he died and we were so shocked.
