WHEN WILL THE REPUBLICANS EVER LEARN?!
This is what the Democrats do when they are in power, when they were in the minority they still succeeded in scuttling or drastically changing many Republican bills, because the Republican have been too "polite" or timid to play hardball. Obviously the Democrats "appreciated it", this is their famous "bipartisan" response.
Republicans need to do everything to get back control of Congress and once in power again, remember this and do the same to the Democrats.
The Dems are gutting defense and adding all kinds of unnecessary spending -- so this is not "just about politics" in wanting the GOP back in power, before the Democrats destroy the country.
Elections have consequences!

PS.
I hope those who didn't bother to vote or voted third party to teach "the big spending Republicans a lesson" are happy now.

Well then GOP make sure you don't lose control of the House and this won't happen. Until then cry me a river.

Republicans in the Senate appeared unlikely to place procedural hurdles in its path. Spineless and gutless - our Republicans

"give them little choice but to pass the bill."
Sure the GOP has a choice! Vote NO and nitpick on every point back home.
Time for the D-Con!

HELLO Republicans! This is how politics is played. Too bad you didn't play politics when you had the chance instead of tiddlywinks.

Sounds like the kind of squawking that the Democrats did when the GOP ran the show. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
To: IntelliQuark
Heck, the dems also shut out the majority of fellow dems in the House. Neither side was able to make any additions to the bill. Only those few elite in power dems (the liberals) had a say in it.

Hey Repubs you lost.
Next time if you get the majority play hardball better and don't forget those who elected you to control the game.
PS: Drop the bipartisan crap, announce Democrats what your freedom gone and that we will sacrifice "getting along" to preserving liberty.

"WHEN WILL THE REPUBLICANS EVER LEARN?!"
Probably in about 40 years or so when they decide it's time to be a majority party again like they did in 1994 when they were the minority party since the 1950's.
How stupid and gutless are the Republicans in the House? My answer came when they reelected Boener and Blunt to their leadership positions. You talk about a couple of DC insiders that have the charisma of a door nail. These men put me to sleep when I see them on TV.
Their is hope McConnell will flex his muscles like he did in leading the charge against McCain-Fiengold and a few other things Republicans advocated that they shouldn't have even considered. But I am not holding my breath.

As the House kicked off debate on the bill, Republicans said the measure was being rushed to the floor without adequate time for lawmakers to read it and without the chance to offer changes.
Then vote against it. Hell, the GOP never read its own bills while in the majority.
There's no real news here. The majority in the House routinely excludes the minority.

Republicans had these bills to work on when they had the majority and decided to punt. Look what it is doing to the country. I'm not for sitting out elections or any of the other stupid - SEND THEM A MESSAGE - stuff but what is a rational conservative Republican to do in these times?

Dems exercise power like they have it.
If Republicans had learned to do this, maybe they'd still be in power.
Would I be out of line if I said Nancy Pelosi runs the house like a plantation, and you know what I'm talkin about?
