I'm angry. I'm angry at the 'antiwar' protesters who heaped abuse on our troops. And I'm angry at the people who couldn't be bothered to stand up for our troops yesterday.
Tens of thousands of anti-American leftists and their dupes marched on our nation's capital calling for America's defeat in the war on terror in Iraq.
Only about forty people could be bothered to turn out in support of America's victory in Iraq. Among those forty was a civilian POW held by the North Vietnamese communists and several Iraq war veterans--including wounded warriors who left the hospital to stand up for their brothers in arms on the home front.
Why did former POW Mike Benge and Iraq vet Joshua Sparling only find a few dozen people willing to stand with them? Why, as the anti-American left is heading toward repeating their victory in Vietnam, are so many people sitting on their asses and doing nothing to stop them?
Why, when Joshua Sparling was spat on, cursed at and threatened by 'peace marchers', were there so few people there to defend his honor?
Why was Jane Fonda allowed to desecrate the Navy Memorial and only face token opposition?
Why did Mike Benge see thousands more people showing up to cheer Jane Fonda than there were to denounce her?
Those who were there to support these patriots will be posting their observations and photos on this thread. I've said my piece.
Doc,I can help, just let me know.
Certainly no need to apologize. I think our beef is with people who really could go, but couldn't be bothered.
Yep .. I remember .. it was pretty windy that day too

You're right, it was windy. Those bikers and their help saved the flag balloon.
We're making a list and you're on it. Will be in touch.
Thank you.
I've seen people donate the cost of a bus seat as a "scholarship"...
It's tough when they get money to bus in their protestors. At least we can honorably say...we fund ourselves.
I've been downtown to see those idiots spout their hatred of the President, the war, SUV's...you name it. Their language is usually foul so it's not good to have kids around.
As I said Saturday morning...I attended the 'family friendly' FReep in Olney.
It happened. One guy connected. I saw some anachist, lesbian freaky chick take repeated mouthfulls of water and spit in the wounded warriors direction. Had the distance been less she would have been happy to spit on them as she was full of hate, not sophistication.
They were so sophisticated that the changed "You go fight" at those who OBVIOUSLY were military from their bearing, physical shape and haircuts. Not to mention the PT shirt that say ARMY in 10 inch high letters. These people were on Hate America Autopilot.
Read the New York Times. For once they got at least part of it right.
I watched one of the two cases where the "peace" protesters told Josh they were going to return with a gun and shoot him.
No. I do not let the enemy choose the terms of the battle. Marches are Soooo 1960's.
They are the equivalent of bringing a knife to a gunfight. Or bringing a "march" to an internet fight. They are irrelevent.
BTW, I saw little Matthew at the rally. He was so agitated it looked like he took a Tazer up the butt.
And ANSWER never paid the King Foundation for using that photo.
You win the quote of the day award.
These marches are for foreign consumption. The RATs also point to the marches and say "see the American people are against the War on Terror."
Funny you should mention that. The WTOP reporter made a point to say that the counter protest made the peace marchers mad and that some in their ranks went too far. She then played a sound bite of one guy calling Josh names.
It is an observation I've seen many times, but Veronia Robinson is the first reporter that I've heard report it.
I woke this mornin and thought about it. I worked all day and thought about it. I drove home and thought about it...
My own frustrations with party, the left's front, the abundant unknowns in the world as far as facts from fiction, and the inability to do ANY thing about any of it has increased internally for me. When I first read your (Chuckle) on the other thread, it set me off. And then I seen this one, and I let it fuel me more.
I know you have personally done more for the front of Right vs left than most, and for this I apologize for my lashing out. I was wrong to go ballistic, because at the time, I thought you organized this rally, including inviting the troops who showed. This is why I said what I said. Emails last night, and upon my return from work today, convinced me this was not the case at all.
FWIW...
