They oughta raise taxes to help offset this loss of people.
To: MinorityRepublican
Well....I'd like to think the grads of places like MIT and Harvard have enough sense to avoid the punitive Mass taxes.

Gee, why would the young run from a lifestyle of liberalism, high taxes, eco-awareness, and diversity?

you need those young entrepreneurial working-class people to support that system. Translation: a parasitic system dies without a host to prey on.
Imagine the utter gall of the hosts to leave before they're infected!

Only the enterprising business minded young conservatives are leaving. The lazy entitlement minded liberals stay behind.
Beacon hill just voted to count illegal immigrants in the census because of fear of losing yet another democrat congressional seat.

I've been in Mass. all my life. We vote for fools like Kennedy and Dukakis, and we've always grumbled (some) about how stupid the state and local government is. But mostly we support Liberal politicians. I see no reason to think that Mass. will become more Conservative in the future. It is as far Left now as I have ever seen it.
But more and more I hear people here say, "This is a rotten place to live. I sure wish I could go someplace else. But my house would never sell -- there's too many houses already on the market, and they aren't moving. I guess I'm stuck in this hellhole."
But, as I say, these good folks will continue to vote for fine gentlemen like Deval Patrick every time.

We have a very aging population, and we have one of the best benefits systems, but you need those young entrepreneurial working-class people to support that system.
Spoken like a true socialist.

IMO, companies will import the young workers they need via H1B visas and other similar temporary worker programs.

"..."We have a very aging population, and we have one of the best benefits systems, but you need those young entrepreneurial working-class people to support that system.." Maybe the young people see this and act accordingly. Further, why even bother trying to get ahead when you are taxed and taxed some more. Finally, after all those taxes what do you get--old geezers including Teddy Kennedy and John Kerry.

It's because Massachusettes, has been
controlled by dirty pervert Democrat
Leftie pervert politicians and judges
who have turned a state that used to
be a beacon of justice and morality,
into a perverse land where young life
..hell, decent life...is despised.

This isn't really news in any of the northeastern states because this has been ongoing in the northeast for several years now.

Sorry, but Mitt Romney hammered the last nail in the coffin of Massachusetts when he signed into law the universal healthcare law.
40% of college educated Ma. citizens will leave, but those 18-34 year olds with less than a 4 year college degree are even worse off under the boot of Mass. socialism.
The enduring legacy of racism might be the only thing that can save Ma. When enough AARP whitey's get mad that the young coloreds are getting more benefits than they are under the redistribution system, it's likely the greying white populatino will dismantle the entire system rather than provide benefits to the colored working class.
(I used the word 'colored' because the only places I've ever heard it spoken regularly is in MA, RI and ME)

You may also notice that this pattern is happening throughout all of the blue states.

Interesting. My hubby (a Dot Ave boy and the only ardent right winger in his very leftist, blue collar family) and I left 5 years ago. Sick of the cold, the taxes and the liberals.
Interestingly, I might be luring a good friend down from the frigid north. He's intrigued with Florida's growth and industry, low taxes and relative freedom.
