Did anyone really believe that Nancy Pelosi's recent whirlwind visit to Iraq was truly the "fact-finding" mission she billed it to be? I doubt it. But just in case there are some credulous folks out there, here's proof that rather than trying to find facts, Pelosi wanted to promote a political agenda.
Have a look at this video clip from her January 26th visit. Exactly two minutes in, Pelosi, seated with Jack Murtha, is speaking with the young female Army soldier who is seen facing the camera. Here is the exchange:
Young Army Soldier: "I'm a 96th Bravo Intel Analyst. I work as a Sunni analyst in a fusion cell."
Nancy Pelosi: "Let's talk about the intelligence that got us into the war. That would be interesting to start with."
Think about it. If Pelosi were truly interested in "finding facts," she might have asked this young analyst about the strides we are making with Sunnis and the cooperation we're receiving against al-Qaeda in Iraq, about new cooperation we're receiving from Shia government leaders in rooting out death-squad leaders -- and what might happen to those efforts if we followed Mr. Murtha's recommendation and "redeployed" our folks to Okinawa.
Instead, with her eyes firmly fixed in the rear-view mirror and on domestic politics, Pelosi seeks to lure the analyst into a discussion of the intelligence from five years ago that led to the decision to go to war - something clearly outside the soldier's areas of responsibility or expertise.
This is not "fact-finding" - it's an attempt to use our brave soldiers as extras in Pelosi's political stunt film. Has anyone seen a MSM report on Pelosi's attempt to exploit the solider for political ends? Neither have I.

Let the impeachment begin. Oh how I hope she goes for that. She doesn't deserve to shine that soldier's shoes.

The words to that old song from the thirty's apply perfectly to Nanny P.
Jeepers creepers,
Where'd ya get those peepers?
Oh those weepers,
How'd they get that size!
Thank you for that info
BTW .. not to sound petty .. but I just loved how Nancy wore her heels and pop beads to Iraq *L*
"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."

Ignorant. HateFUL. Smug. Undignified. Disrespectful.
Rinse, repeat...
Some have done worse ... Guess what party he's from
During World War II, May was responsible for a major release of confidential military information, known as the May Incident. In that incident, U.S. submarines had been conducting a successful undersea war against Japanese shipping during World War II, frequently escaping Japanese anti-submarine depth charge attacks. Unfortunately, the deficiencies of Japanese depth-charge tactics were revealed in a press conference held in June 1943 by Congressman May, a member of the House Committee on Military Affairs. May had visited the Pacific theater and received many confidential intelligence and operational briefings. At the press conference, May revealed that American submarines had a high survivability rate because Japanese depth charges were typically fused to explode at too shallow a depth. Various press associations sent this leaked news story over their wires, compounding the disaster, and many newspapers (including one in Honolulu, Hawaii), published it.[2] [3]
Soon, Japanese forces were resetting their depth charges to explode at a more effective average depth of 250 feet. Vice Admiral Charles A. Lockwood, commander of the U.S. submarine fleet in the Pacific, later estimated that May's revelation cost the United States Navy as many as ten submarines and 800 crewmen lost in action.[4] [5]
Umm, the soldier is a 96 Bravo. 91 series is for medical personnel.
I'm still confused. Did your husband get into trouble bec he did not shoot the officer as he had been instructed, or because he didn't give up the intel as the officer ordered him to do?
I think the key is that a specific recipient gets the intel, "need to know" and all that.
They have not changed a bit in seventy years.
Lord, God,
Part of me would seek mercy for the . . . bw-ch because I want mercy for all my sins.
But a big part of me thinks she's had enough mercy for her treasonous, globalist idiot deeds and goals. Please flush her from public life with great shame and fanfare, Lord.
UPDATE - was Pelosi quizzing an enlisted HS grad?
I was curious about the soldier that Pelosi wanted to engage in a discussion of the intelligence that led us into the war in Iraq. The soldier said she was a '96 Bravo' intel analyst. I Googled that, and found this list of qualifications for a '96B Intel Analyst,' quite possibly the position in question. You'll note that as per paragraph 10-221.b.(6), such analysts must be a "high school graduate or equivalent" prior to entry into active duty. Note also the requirement under 10-221.b.(4)(a) of an ASVAB score of 105. That's a test administered to enlisted people.
In other words, it seems possible that Pelosi was quizzing an enlisted person with a high school diploma about the highest possible level intelligence matters. Now, there are any number of brilliant HS grads, and surely many of them serve in our armed forces. But it seems very unlikely this intel analyst would ever have had access to the kind of highest-possible level intelligence materials to which Pelosi was referring. Of course that didn't matter at all to the Speaker. She was only concerned with scoring political points, not in "finding facts."

little nancy p, a certified female slimball....
Sorry about that. I've corrected at NewsBusters.
I was thinking the same thing when reading your post
Gads. At least that looks like it may have been more stupidity than malice, though. What we're seeing now is pure Dem malice and America-hatred.
Our great admin mod has now corrected at my request. Many thanks for pointing this out.
In the news clips of her, it looked like she used grass clippers to style her hair.
