It is said that Rudy is ready to take on the whole world in response to the deaths of 3,000 Americans in the WTC attack but he not only won't even lift a finger in response to the deaths of 40,000,000 American children - he wants the slaughter to continue unabated. He has even stated that he would willingly pay to have his own grandchild butchered by an abortionist if his daughter couldn't pay for it herself. And he even thinks that your tax money should be used to pay for the unborn children of poor women to be dismembered and sucked into a sink.
Yet, there is a massive propaganda effort occuring to sugar coat Giuliani's extreme liberal views, statements, and policies and Mayor of New York City. But it goes beyond softening his hardcore liberal views. The big lie is being told and told often that Giuliani is a conservative. Which he is NOT, by any sane definition of the word. That propaganda effort is seen in major magazines, newspapers, and right here on Free Republic.
Let there be no confusion. Giuliani is a liberal - one of the most liberal people in the Republican Party - and the MOST LIBERAL REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ever. Would it be easier to ignore his liberal, anti-Republican platform views and support the current frontrunner in the Republican Primary? For some. But what is the RIGHT thing to do? Do you principles mean anything to you? Do the traditional principles of the Republican Party mean anything to you? We're well over a year outside of election day. Any one of the major candidates could be made into the GOP nominee. They just need YOUR support in the form of donations and work. Are we so fearful of a tough election fight with Hillary that we'll put up a candidate whose liberal views do not represent the views of the vast majority of the Republican Party? Do we surrender our conservative values for electoral expedience? And if Rudy is our nominee and he does win the election, what does it profit the Republican Party if we win but we lose our soul?
Maybe some people are right and the time isn't right for a hardcore conservative candidate. Fine. Maybe we could go with a moderate more in the mold of our current President. I'm very unhappy with a number of things that President Bush has done, but I would far prefer 4 to 8 more years of that than 4 to 8 years of a liberal like Giuliani. Pick a conservative candidate, or a more moderate candidate if you must. But supporting a liberal like Giuliani is an unconscionable choice for any self-respecting conservative Republican.

Why are you posting some story from 2001 like it's news?
what's his position today, any idea?
Well, that's it. < dusting hands off, walking away>
It's possible he could finesse the issue but if he's going to rub people's noses in his pro abortion position, he may as well throw in the towel right now.
BUT HE CAN WIN!!!!
(countdown to the rudy fan invasion)
2001?
Great post, maybe this will put to rest the "Rudy will be fine for pro-lifers" nonsense. He is a pro-abortion extremist.
I must not be ,,with this Little GOP.
It's a Child,Not a Choice...!
Murdering children is about as "consistent with the philosophy of the Republican Party" as you are, Rudy.
Oh.
Talking to NARAL - Some conservative.
Please freepmail me or respond to be put on the anti-Rudy ping list.
If either Giuliani or Romney gets the Republican nomination, I am bolting the GOP.
I may agree with you, but you lost me when you blamed a Mayor for abortions. Bit of a reach don't ya think?
2008 is a whole new ballgame. Past statements are irrelevant.
Amen, amen, amen! What good is it to support the war on terror, but turn a blind eye toward the killing of innocents, let alone supporting it. McCain or Romney would be far more preferable if we have to bite the bullet and support one of the Big Three.
As an elected Republican, he endorsed ultra-liberal Democrats including Bill Clinton.
Rudy threw himself into the anti-family Planned Parenthood lifestyle and callously dumped wives for girlfriends---Rudy even tried to throw his wife AND HIS CHILDREN out of the Mayoral mansion, so he could move his mistress in.
Rudy willingly (perhaps gleefully) stomped on family values, he thumbed his nose at social conservatives, and he supported abortion on demand and gay rights (even though he had no legislative or official mandate to do so).
Now Rudy Rooters keep whining that he's being trashed.
Any trashing he's getting now, Rudy himself invited.
It's too bad Rudy didn't heed the following admonition: "Be careful who you step on, on the way up, because you are going to meet them on the way down."
Oh boy... Houston, we have a problem!
What matters is that Giuliani will never get an abortion, yet you fault him for saying that women, under his version of GOP philosophy, are free to do what they want. The fact is that women, not Giuliani, chose to have abortions sails right over your little head.
Whose to blame for abortion? Women.
