Terror-Free Oil Initiative
Terror-Free Oil Initiative is dedicated to encouraging Americans to buy gasoline that originated from countries that do not export or finance terrorism.
We educate the public by promoting those companies that acquire their crude oil supply from nations outside the Middle East and by exposing those companies that do not.
We are also looking into creating a healthy debate concerning alternate methods of fuel production and consumption.

Nice marketing but I'm pretty sure the oil we get is a mixture of oil from all over.

Me too. But you and I might be using it if we buy gas at non brand, independent type station (like a Grocery Store). But if I never fill up where I see a Citgo sign. I know some people say it only hurts the station owner, yada, yada, yada. But that station owner has to pay a franchise fee or whatever to pay to use the Citgo name. Their are other names these stations can use, IMO.

I think that Sinclair is the only one that is not, but as Canada does import as well as export oil even that is iffy.

I like that initiative and would love to buy Gasoline or heating oil from countries that don't sponsor or harbor terrorist groups.
That would probably eliminate all of the oil flowing out of the middle east but it would be worthwhile.

By not using any Mid-East oil they're also avoiding oil from Kuwait and Iraq. That's the problem with broad brushes.

I'd love to buy oil from Sinclair, but I think there are at most a dozen Sinclair stations in all of the St. Louis metro area, and the one closest to me is still quite far from home, especially in those situations where my car is running on fumes.

Could be North Sea oil.
Probably Russian oil (although I would disagree that they don't support terrorist).
To: Stoat
Pointless but well-intentioned exercise. Oil is a fungible commodity. If you don't buy it from Iran, somebody else will.
The only way to hurt terrorist oil is to reduce the price of oil. This means 1) increasing supply on the worldwide crude market by developing US resources and/or 2)reducing demand via technology/conservation/alternatives wherever possible.

'Terror Free' Gas Station Does that mean they'll exterminate the spiders in the bathrooms?
