And Timmy is getting orgasmic over Kennedy's suggestion that he might just cut off funding for Iraq. Timmy really brightened up at that.

Oh, did you know that the President sent the troops into Iraq without bullets.

Thanks as always for the thread bit late here today as we have had wind damage in our garden and have been discussing with a friend who is helping with repairs

FNS

Juan makes sense. [Wonder of wonders!]

He says Hillary's problem is Bill and her past record of health care, etc.

Good luck snugs, and good morning as well.

Thanks for posting the pictures too. I needed some to show people how English fences are made and these will work well. Fences are not made this way here.

Well, the troops guarding the prisons were issued rubber bullets after the Abu Ghraib fiasco.

May I say, ...... it is my strong opinion that the "boys" who make things happen in (world) politics have been grooming Hillary for great things since her Wellesley picture on the Life cover in '69 and the Watergate committee ......... so I certainly wouldn't put it past those "boys" to do about the same with the grades and the Law Review position for dear Obama back in his law school days. I am totally serious.

These movers and shakers take their time grooming their functionaries.

Poor Johnny had that 'deer caught in the headlights' look as Timmy pelted him with some severe commentary quotes and questions. {snicker}

That was a really vicious storm.....so all because of Global Warming?

OT a bit ...I find this encouraging that there is still good sense in Merry Old England:

UK: Guantánamo must stay open, say MPs

If they talk about Gitmo at all on this Sundays's shows we won't hear that opinion....

Dana Milbank sounds a little frustrated with the office-holding dems in DC

Excerpt from his article:
Next in the Senate TV studio: Biden, another Democratic presidential candidate, introducing his nonbinding resolution. Unlike Dodd, Biden had co-sponsors, but he could not remember everybody's name.

"Good afternoon, folks," he began. "Today, Senator Hagel and Senator Lugar and I . . ."

"Levin," Levin corrected him.

"Levin!" Biden agreed, putting his arm around Levin. "Jiminy Christmas. I just left Lugar."

The difficulties were just beginning. "If you feel so strongly, why a symbolic, nonbinding resolution?" asked ABC News's Jake Tapper.

Biden reasoned: "I cannot believe that the president of the United States would not pay heed to a bipartisan resolution passed by the United States, notwithstanding it's not binding."

True. (Off topic but....I still can "see" that Life Magazine pic of college student hillary in those well-filled striped pants w/the stripes at the hip seams stretching way OUT.)

Timmy asks Kennedy what if we leave and Iran moves in to the south, the Kurds and the Turks go at it, etc. Kennedy says that's a wait and see.

I would not rely on the thought of this Picture being staged because the Weather has been warmer in NY (and Washington) than normal. Right now it is nasty, but it only takes a few days of warm weather to start everything blooming. I can say that having grown up in Central NY. Here in Florida My citrus trees especially ones that are the most susceptible to Cold like Key Lime Trees are blooming like crazy, about 6 weeks early. I would like to hear from Hillary's neighbors for the truth. I would not put it past them to order flowers planted just for a photo op, after all I do not think anything living survives very long around Hillary unless rescued.
