UGH.... no way Hillarity ever should be able to win, but she may win anyway..... let's face it, the MSM will go all-out to protect her, promote "1st woman president" etc. and all the bad stuff she's done will be treated as "old old news" or "more rage from Clinton-haters" etc. It will be hard to get traction on her grotesque pre-2001 record, and in the Senate she's mostly kept her head down and tried to stay out of trouble.

Don't misunderstand, I loathe the witch and can't stand the prospect of her as, gasp, President, but I don't agree with people who think she has not chance at all.

A lot depends upon getting a really good R. candidate (who?) and avoiding a 3rd Party fiasco ala 1992 and 1996. Let's remember that Bill Clinton didn't top 43% in the popular vote, was/is a loathsome sack of feces, and still managed to be a 2-term US President. Yes, he has diabolical political talents that Hillarity obviously lacks, but she and her cohorts in the MSM should not be underestimated.

It's just the website announcement. Maybe the "official" announcement will be later.
Maybe in Ft. Marcy Park? We can dream.

You remember the clinton formula. No interviews, debates or unscripted appearances. The Stone Age Press will cover for her completely. Watch for the Oprah type questions.

"Yes, he has diabolical political talents that Hillarity obviously lacks"

Neither one has talent. They were/are able to find similarly diabolical individuals who were/are shameless opportunistic, selfish, win-at-any cost, slimy, operatives.

Carville, Begala, Emmanuel, Stephanopolous et.al.

and that's all I have to say about that.

Copy/paste of an old post of mine ...

The Biased Liberal media is EAGER to report that Hitlery is
"Moving to the center."

Ha! Yeah, right. When pigs fly.

Check out her "Move to the center" here, per the ACU. She
went from "10" in 2003 to a GOOSE EGG (0) in 2004, on a
scale of 100 = perfect conservative.

Moving to the center? He**, she's farther left in 2004 than
EVER!

Click here or on the pic for the article.

Hillary's Rating per the ACU

Senator Hillary Clinton (D)
New York
Democrat, Years of Service: 4

ACU Ratings for Senator Clinton:
Year 2004 0
Year 2003 10
Lifetime 9

This woman will never get the nod from liberal women. If she had held true to the feminist code she would have dumped that POS husband of hers years ago.

Are you kidding? All the leftist women I know are swooning. They understand that she has to stay with him to run. They understand pragmatism.

And Hille got 600,000+ fewer votes this time around for her re-election.

What is that, the population of one NYC neighborhood?

Hillary vs. Rudy would be GREAT. With her marital problems, she negates his. She'd make him look more conservative. He's a superb speaker, and has a terrific sense of humor. She's a terrible speaker, and humorless. (Same goes for McCain. He'd beat her like a drum.)

Unfortunately neither will bring out the base of the Pubbies.

I still think we will retain the WH in 2008, but I think one of the few paths that could lead to defeat is the underestimation of the challenge a Clinton/Obama ticket will present.

How do remain optimistic about this? I see no likely candidate on the horizon who could beat a Clinton/Hussein ticket

"Obama doesn't want a VP that will draw so much attention from him and one he has to constantly worry about."

What if he wants a VP who will do all the work and write all the policies, while he plays, gives interviews, travels, does pressers where he takes heat for the VP's policies so she won't need to face the press?

Just by the way and timing Hilary!'s candidacy was announced today, its clear now, as suspected, that Obama is just a setup man. The DBM will present a choice - Hilary! or Obama, which was planned from the get-go, since there is no future in an Obama candidacy.

Bingo. When I see fellow FReepers cheering on her candidacy, it gives me pause. We should not underestimate this woman.

"since there is no future in an Obama candidacy."

Dunno. Because of Romney I've been paying attention to Massachusetts.

The new governor there ran on "hope", "change", "workking together" and I think he mentioned "eternal youth" once.

The press loved him and covered all his slips, and he won by a HUGE margin.

Barak is offering the same. It's a Clintonesque formula but if he gets it right with the press, and they demonize whatever poor yutz runs against him, he could win.

If his people run a campaign like Hillary's Senate run, he can win like Deval Patrick won- by saying nothing othe than HOPE and CHANGE and letting his constituents fill in the blanks with what they want to have heard him say.
