There's one faint hope here : the iranian moderates. They won a majority of municipal elections recently. They are NOT the terrorist kooks that LUST after nucs, they just want a good life, like most people everywhere.
Now is the moment for them to bring down amadinjihad with internal revolts. After GWB pulls the trigger it's too late. Let them know that with crystal clarity, act NOW or you'll die along w/the crazies. Let america say it with one voice : "do"(amadinjihad)or DIE.

He doesn't need their permission. All they can do is cut off funds - but they sneaked a provision into their resolution that makes an exception if Iran attacks us. (shhhhh) Like maybe there'll be a little skirmish in the Persian Gulf.
Hell, in 1986 I participated in an academic wargame that had the troops invade Iran. It's done all the time.

There are Pentagon contingency plans for war with Russia and China. Does anyone believe that an American attack on either is imminent? Iran is much more likely to step up its shadow war of infiltration and terror within Iraq against the US military, once it is confident that the Democrats have neutralized any chance of American military action, such as the current unconstitutional meddling in foreign and military policy by the Democrat Senate. That they are making war even more likely due to their actions seems like an understatement. These people will are determined to blunder us all into a World War, by foolishly making the wrong moves in trying to prevent one.
Reuters needs to stop pussyfooting around and just come out with the real plan...Bush is planning on conquering the entire planet, stealing everyone's oil and chile con carne, and turn us all into born-again Christians.
I hope the contingency plans include a section for seizing the oil fields and denying Iran the revenue. It is important to cut off their air supply.
