>>>>Liberals have no shame and fight for everything they get with all stops pulled out. When are conservatives gonna wise up & fight fire with fire and quit taking the freakin' high road with these vermin?

One of the big problems here is the liberals are doing the fighting full time. They get on activism grants.

WE, who fund these grants with OUR tax dollars, have to do what we can inbetween work, family and bills.

NOT an even playing ground.

>>>If we don't then we deserve to lose, just like we did last November.

We are all here ready, willing and able. What can we do differently?

FYI about the losses. LCR campaigned AGAINST conservative republicans. They are under investigation for it too.

Guess where LCR gets money from? RNC. I've stopped donating to them. I only give directly to candidates I support now.

I wasn't sending the RNC any money. Now it is confirmed why.

I've about had it with this party. Are the Dems worse? Of course but the Republicans sure don't give you any reason to get excited about voting GOP anymore. The twelve years of Republican control in Congress have been disapointing at best. The base won't put up for it much longer. Eventually people will start bolting for third parties and who can blame them? The Republican party is now a liberal party that spends like Democrats and has an amazing penchant for poking the base in the eye.

Martinez is a good schmoozer. He's not a good leader, and I don't think he has many causes of his own. He has been very silent on just about everything since he made it to the Senate (he's one of my Senators). But maybe he'll be good at this, although in general, I see it simply as his getting kicked upstairs, into a position that is really not all that powerful in the long run.

Sure pick a freshman senator polling under 50%.

He should be more concerned with his job as Senator and getting re-elected in '10, which is not a shoe in.

Does this mean that amnesty for illegals will get crammed down our throats whether we like it or not?

Let's wish him well and hope he does a GOOD job!

There comes a point where being an optimist is foolish.

I'm ashamed to be a Republican nowadays. Liberals have no shame and fight for everything they get with all stops pulled out. When are conservatives gonna wise up & fight fire with fire and quit taking the freakin' high road with these vermin? If we don't then we deserve to lose, just like we did last November.

Typical response from the right wing drama queens.

Haha, yeah, he did just join to post that.

Typical.

Might folks recall that this guy's job has NOTHING to do with immigration?

I'm afraid some won't care.
I wish him good luck, as should we all.

Might be the death of the Republican Party. I am sure Hillary is laughing her head off and celebrating.

The attempted fix is in for a RINO nominee in 2008.

Judging by the replies on this thread.... most cannot, will not, or don't know. But hey, let the rants rave on!

Oh, but it will. To the extent that the RNC controls who gets the money and who doesn't....

The first six years of GOP control were quite good. We had budge surpluses and restraint on spending. But, something happened on or about 2000. The Republicans started acting like liberals with their pork projects and their lust for lobbyist cash. Hmmmm, this coincided with the election of Bush. I wonder if there is a correlation?

Very well said. Duncan who is heading day to day operations I have heard if a good guy to have in charge. He is probably the reason why so many went along and voted for Martinez.
