The Origin of Man (Combating Darwinism)
Darwinism Refuted ^ | Harun Yahya

Posted on 01/18/2007 1:00:43 PM PST by scottdeus12

Darwin put forward his claim that human beings and apes descended from a common ancestor in his book The Descent of Man, published in 1871. From that time until now, the followers of Darwin's path have tried to support this claim. But despite all the research that has been carried out, the claim of "human evolution" has not been backed up by any concrete scientific discovery, particularly in the fossil field.

The man in the street is for the most part unaware of this fact, and thinks that the claim of human evolution is supported by a great deal of firm evidence. The reason for this incorrect opinion is that the subject is frequently discussed in the media and presented as a proven fact. But real experts on the subject are aware that there is no scientific foundation for the claim of human evolution. David Pilbeam, a Harvard University paleoanthropologist, says:

If you brought in a smart scientist from another discipline and showed him the meagre evidence we've got he'd surely say, "forget it; there isn't enough to go on."

Please, do not treat us fools. There are no such valid polls.

I am not sure whether you are being sarcastic here, but I thought I should include at least one poll:

The page I posted is Darwinism Refuted, Gum. Not convert to Islam.

So if a Muslim believes that 2+2=4, does that mean we shouldn't believe it because he's a Muslim?

I'm going to take some of this idiots writings, Xerox them onto old-looking parchment, and sell them at airports, while chanting "Hare Krishna."

Well, it'll be interesting a number of years from now, when intelligent robots learn to replicate themselves, and humans will no longer be needed. Will they teach their little ones about how the robot fish walked ashore and through evolution became the robots of their day and age? Al

Read what he writes about himself. Everything he does is designed to get people to convert to a particularly radical form of Islam.

And if you don't believe him, why did you post anything of his in the first place?

'Cherno' comes from the Russian word for black (÷îðíèé) and 'byl' comes from the Russian word for 'blades of grass', billia (áèëëÿ) so the closest translation would be 'blackgrass'.

There is a forest near that is named after Mugwort(sp?) which is a close relative of Wormwood.. I think this is where the mistranslation & popular connection started..

Fascinating -- if true. However, it isn't.

You see, I actually speak Russian. The Russian word for wormwood is polyn gorkaya. Chernobyl means something like "black grass".

1. Why were you in Chernobyl?

2. Why did they lie to you? The Russian word for wormwood (polyn gorkaya) doesn't even come close to Chernobyl.

Which is exactly the claim I was refuting. See post #70.

Discussion about polls may be interesting, but we don't decide scientific questions based on public opinion, or the sun might still be orbiting the earth which is flat.

The science is what it is, and what some public perception about it is, is completely irrelevant. There may be conflicting opinions of how life developed here on earth, but there's only one reality.

"A Ukrainian word chornobyl, and that this word refers to the mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris). Mugwort is a close relative of wormwood (Artemisia absinthium). As a result, chornobyl has been translated by some to be the equivalent of the English name wormwood." thank you Wikipedia
