I look forward to watching the VP's interview later on FNC

I am watching him now. He's been excellent. I think my favorite line was when asked whether he was concerned about losing Republican support for the surge and he was shown Hagel's despicable statement, the VP replied, "We haven't had Hagel (on our side) for quite some time." No kidding!

Whilst I totally agree with you about what the VP could have said but I wonder how many would have actually listened.

The MSM/DBM have done such a good hatchet job on this honourable man that even if people watched it they would be so coloured in their opinion that they would have read all sorts of ulterior motives into what he was saying. Unfortunately they have made this man poison to the general voting public and the rest of the population have not even heard of him.

What I saw of Lieberman, he was excellent (I can't watch much of Fat Tim's show because he literally makes me sick). But Joe was so well spoken on this issue that I stayed and watched for a while. After Joe, Hagel made a statement saying he was insulted by what Joe had to say. I wish that Joe had had an opportunity, that not only was he (Joe) insuslted by what Hagel said, but every military active duty individual would be insulted as well. Hagel is stuck in Viet Nam, he can't get beyond it, and as a result he doesn't understand what retreat will mean. Hagel and Dodd are insulting as is Fat Tim. I didn't get to see much of what Kyl said, but from what I have read here, he was superb as well.

Meet the Press was the only show they had on here.

All of the other Sunday shows were pre-empted by local weather news about the ice storm.

But he should have been out there on every other media venue of consequence, stating the facts, calmly informing the sheeple of the dangers of losing this war, in his logical, levelheaded way.

I agree. He has been woefully under-utilized. Winning the propaganda war is half the battle and he is such a valuable asset.

Freeper Snugs asked how many people would have actually listened to the VP. Well, if winning the war necessitates our ability to sustain the American people's will to win, then I actually think he SHOULD go on shows like Oprah. How can it hurt? Just the fact that he goes on her show would be widely covered and his message would be conveyed to that many more Americans who normally tune him out.

Okay...per Sen. Gordon Smith, just now.

He opposes Bush's plan to add troops because "it is too little, too late...but what needs to emerge is a way to make sure that al-queda and other enemies in the war on terror do not spread and are defeated"...

I am paraphrasing but the MAIN JIST is....adding American troops to Iraq now, it NOT a good idea, too little, too LATE...but we cannon leave Iraq until we have gotten rid of all of al-queda and all of the insurgents and anyone else that wants to hurt us!!!

Can any of you explain his logic to me???

He is a US Senator...he HAS to be much smarter than a grandmother in Texas doesn't he???

This is their push to try and win back Conservatives that they know have helped defeat them in the last Dozen Years, and why the Pubbies lost the House and senate. Lies and truth about Mark Foley run on every network, all the talk shows, all over America for 6 weeks turned off Conservatives, and the rats ran so called Conservatives against the Pubbie Incumbents. Already the Conservatives are kicking themselves when they see what their staying home, or not voting Pubbie got them. All of the so called "blue dogs" are just "lap dogs", and are voting lock step with their "Fuhrer" Nanzee. In the next two years the foolish Conservatives will have to be "played" even more than they were this time in order for the Rats to take the white House and keep Congress in their Majority. That will be much harder to do since we will remind them (wayward Conservatives) every day what kind of trash they allowed to be put in office. I meet lots of those types at Yard Sales, and I have had jaws dropping for several weeks when I tell them how they swapped Mark Foley for the Barney Frank Types, and the NAMBLA Types that want to Push Gay Marriage and lower the age of consent down to 12. The Rats are starting their push very early to convince Conservatives that they are really Pro Life, pro babies, Pro Family, and they will need the Help of the DBM to flim flam the lies into truth. Pubbies have gotten rid of most of the dead wood, and lousy candidates, and will do a lot better screening and recruiting for great, mostly unblemished Candidates and Mark Foley will not be on the Ballot. Sea Change coming.........Watch out Rats...

I agree in some ways but I still feel that the MSM have done such a good hatchet job that anything he says will be interpreted by many as having alternative agenda and the MSM will immediately show this interpretation whether on TV shows or newspaper referring to the interview(s).

And those who have not heard of him would ignore him as being old and irrelevant.

That's what I always say...we won that war in weeks.

If you recall, the naysayers were saying it would be impossible to do.

Ever since then, it's been a peacekeeping/nation building operation.

And not that costly, either. We have to maintain a military force, build weapons, do training, all that stuff, especially now with the terrorist threat. All that would probably cost almost as much as we are spending.

All that being said, we need to get cracking on winning this war. Even us warmongers are getting antsy.

No, he doesn't have to be smarter, he just has to be richer. These people who say we need to defeat the enemy, and then don't understand sending in additional troops to do just that, just don't get it. Smith is up for reelection in 08, and I attribute his position to that situation, rather than looking at things in perspective and what is best for the country, Smith is commenting on what is best for him.

I remember all of this and more. How we could never win in Afghanistan, body bags galore, refugees trying to escape. I even remember how we set up refugee camps at the border, and nobody came.

The press has been wrong on so much, and yet we don't make sure everyone remembers it.
