I'll pass the good wishes on Thanks.
Isn't it amazing that you don't even realize this will be the best day of your life at the time that it's happening?
Thanks for Da Blues acad1228,missed you.
Buddy and I were out bar hopping. When I [really] wanted to go home he insisted on "just one more stop".
Naturally, because it was late there were no unattached women except my (future) wife and her sister who was in town for a visit. My buddy split as soon as he found out her sister was married (they were not there looking for men). I persisted until she very reluctantly gave me her number. Later, I had a hell of time getting that first date. 7 months later we were married.....30 years ago this June.
I met mine by being perfectly happy without a guy in my life.
I tried and tried not to be in love. I wanted things to stay just as they were.
Told him, I didn't love him..
Be happy, don't look...
It will happen when you least expect it.
She missed you, thanks for the story Hawk1976.
I met my true love when his family moved into the house across the street from ours when I was a teen.
We were best friends for years.
Ten years later we married & now he is my best friend for life. As Ms B~ would say....he is "every other beat of my heart"!:)
:)Thanks redhead.I read it.Thanks for the story.
(((Hugs)))Thank you nkycincinnatikid.
Wow,I love this story.WAV. file.(((Hugs)))fatima
Thanks, Fatima.
I've met someone else, as I need to get on with my life. I don't know where it's going, but I do know I don't want to be alone the rest of my life. And he's a good Conservative!
But this is my last song (sung best by Sinatra), to the love of my life, CT about what we once shared:
THAT'S ALL
I can only give you love that lasts forever,
And a promise to be near each time you call.
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone
That's all,
That's all...
I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall;
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter's night
That's all,
That's all.
There are those I am sure who have told you,
They would give you the world for a toy.
All I have are these arms to enfold you,
And a love even time can't destroy.
If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore,
For now and evermore
That's all,
That's all.
You're very welcome, Crys.
I hope you enjoy whatever your Mom has prepared for you!
My Morning Mist
You are my morning mist,
my love in Autumn,
my warmth in Winter,
my joy in Spring,
my full bloom in Summer.
The soul of me lives in your heartbeat,
the smile on your face - is my love alive in you.
You are my everything
across the mountains dividing us
and know your face is the last face I see
before my eyes close at night
and the first face my eyes see
when my eyes open in a new day.
You are and will always be my love.
Soaring Feather (c) 2006
Now, that's a great story.
Somehow, even though I know nothing about Mr. Taz, I didn't picture the two of you getting together like that...
There truly is nothing like grandkids. You really DO fall in love with them.
I appreciate the comments. Unfortunately, because of health problems, it's nearly impossible to meet people even by accident, so the "not looking" because no one is there is part of the problem. I am about as far afield from being happy without someone as morality and ethics are from the Clintons. Some laugh at the claim you can't die from a broken heart, I don't. Not in the least.
That so sweet,thanks jazusamo.
My hubby was dating my best friend.
We met when she and I "skipped" church and saw him at a local hangout. I thought he was cute! :D
We got in trouble for skipping! =\
She married someone else and she asked him to take me out when I broke up with my boyfriend. The rest is, as they say, history.
Hi Lady Jag:)
