Don't be surprised if this is used as an excuse for gas prices to spike in the next few days.

Report: Belarus blocks Russian oil deliveries to Germany, Poland and Ukraine

People, be serious. Belarus and Russia are playing tricks with EU.
There is no "clash" between Russia and Belarus. Russia is using Belarus to doubple-play EU.

1. No one can acuse Russia for this, Russia is "innoscent"
2. EU is going to stop accusations of Lukashenko being dictator
3. EU is going to become new best buddie with Lukashenko.

basicaly, it is new energy crysiss like in 70es and 80es.
Russia is explaining to EU who is new boss in Europe.

Same like West hade to agree on islamoapeasement due to its dependence on middleeastern oil, now Russia is doing the same to Europe.

Good analysis. I don't have any problem believing this scenario.

Although everything is possible, I don’t think so. Russia is tired of Lukashenko who is not willing to give them what they want from him. I mean Belarusian pipelines in particular. Lukashenko also don’t want any formal merger with Russia, not even common currency. On the other hands Russians subsidized their economy by this very cheap gas and protected him on international arena. Current relationship with Belarus is very unprofitable for Russia.

Hit it at source of his agenda and then turn around and build more fusion as well nuclear reactors.

Don't forget the glacial till of the foothills, great place to grow the "Georgia Jet" sweet potato which produces much more ethanol per acre than corn. Also grows as far North as Lake Ontario in the US!!

Relationship with Belarus is very profitabile for Russia. You see, politicaly, it is.

1. EU needs Belarus(territory of Belarus) for Gas/Oil import
2. EU needs good relations with Belarus

Now, there are following scenarios:

1. Attack on Belarus by EU (economical/Millitary).
Highly unlikley, Russia would just wait that to cutt-of Oil/Gas under excuse "Bad west is agressor on poor free state Belarus"
2. Makind a deal, secret ona even, with Belarus woth subsiding Belarus economy
3. Killing Lukasenko
Some maybe worst dictator may get to power and destructing all posibillity of transport Gas/Oil to EU

Most probably, EU will cut a deal with Lukasenko. What I belive is that Poland will be scapegoat, and allready is.
remember that Germany and Russia are building a pipeline across Baltic, thus bypassing Poland?

There is anwser why is this happening:

1. EU was concerned by baltic pipeline, Poland especialy.
2. Germany and Russia needed to convince EU that new pipeline is absolute nesscesery for EU

look now this:

1. Russia is making a deal with Belarus to Belarus to cutt-off suplies of Gas and Oil to EU, it is a seal between Russia and Belarus.
2. Germany and Russia are (or will be) saying: Here it is, you see! baltic pipeline is nescessary, to avoid Lukasenko
3. EU will aproove baltic pipeline, bypassing Poland just to get undisturbed supply of Gas and oil from Russia.

Result:
Belaruss will remain on rute of Russias gas and oil, maybe not importan as now, but it will remain best buddie with Russia.
Germany and Russia will bypass Poland, isolating her economicaly and politicaly.
EU will be happy as small puppy, not to have to bother with lukasenko and will do anything to pressure Poland and other ex-eastern countries to stop messing with Lukasenko.

game, set and match for Russia.
