Three Arab men have been detained as they tried to sneak past a security checkpoint at the Port of Miami.
The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. According to local authorities, a security office became suspicious when the driver of a truck attempting to enter the port area did not have the required paperwork. Officers searched the truck and found two other men in the cab trying to hide, Williams said.
The three men were two Iraqis and one Lebanese national who are legal permanent U.S. residents. They were taken into custody for questioning but had had not been charged by Sunday afternoon.
The Miami-Dade bomb squad moved the truck away from public areas of the port and X-rayed it. The port's cargo area was shut down all day Sunday.

MIAMI - Miscommunication led to the detainment of three men at the Port of Miami on Sunday after authorities became suspicious of their documentation and the contents of their cargo truck, officials said.
Authorities initially said the men two Iraqis and one Lebanese national who are legal permanent U.S. residents had been caught trying to slip past a checkpoint at the port's entrance.
A port security officer became suspicious when the truck driver could not produce proper paperwork in a routine inspection to enter the port about 8 a.m., Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Nancy Goldberg said.
The driver also indicated he was alone in the truck, though security officers found two other men in the cab, she said.
"Due to a miscommunication between the gate security personnel and the truck driver, we believe there was a discrepancy in the number of people in the vehicle attempting to enter the Port of Miami," Goldberg said. "This, and the fact that one of the individuals did not have any form of ID raised our level of concern."

Don't worry, be happy.....
Nothing to see here, folks - move along, just keep moving ...
bttt
The ACLU 5th Column is probably trying to gain their release as of this moment.
It's racist and anti Muslim to print that these were Arab men...../s

So, was it ever determined that the men were from Dearborn? I took a nap rather than waiting for the press conference.
All day? For a miscommunication as to the number of personnel in the truck?
Yep, that is clearly what happened. Shut down a major seaport, costing millions in delayed commerce over a minor communication mistake.
Not even the US government homeland insecurity thinks the public is that stupid. This story had to be planted by someone even more clueless. Maybe the FBI?
Pelosi is so saddened.
"miscommunication" means lying to infidels
The ports cargo area was shut down all day Sunday.

I wonder how it long it will take for ACLU and CAIR lawyers to file discrimination lawsuits?
Sure, we buy that/s

Illegals, huh? Probably just got lost looking for the Social Security office.
How do you "sneak" in an 18-wheeler? Enter under false pretenses? Sure. Sneak? Not so much.
