There is no way I could stand to watch any of this lineup today. I have to usher at Church anyway, and better start getting ready soon.

The problem of course is that yours is larger and no one would believe it was that way round especially if the smaller dog came off worse You know Snugs, that's EXACTLY what the SPCA guy told me! He said that the larger dog in a situation like this usually ends up the bad guy.
Hey, it's all about spin, folks. It's not about truth, justice and the American way. Truth is a victim.
How is Jo-Ann's story not like America's own story, to really stretch it out here?
Yeah, she's big...but she was ATTACKED! Is she not supposed to defend herself?
The SPCA guy was nice but I did, I say modestly, talk his ear off. I sure had some thoughts on the matter.
You know, I am scared out of my mind, what with TWO fights now with Jo-Ann, that much like the Democrats, the world will rise and make Jo-Ann the bad guy when all she did was walk upon a public street.
I fear there could be a plan to paint Jo-Ann as the vicious, uncontrollable dog when, in fact, she is anything but.
Much like America as I see it.
Although I'll allow it's a stretch. The winners today are those who can most effectively "create" their own version of the truth.
I really fear they might demand that Jo-Ann be euthanized as a "vicious" dog.
After all we've seen from the Dems and how they act, does anyone not think this is possible?

He may well be but I would suggest that is because he prefers Gates to Rumsfeld so he is inferring that before with Rumsfeld at DOD that the President was not going in the right direction.

Given his popular status as a maverick war hero, John McCain has a good shot at winning the 2008 presidential election - if he can get his party to nominate him, writes the former NYTimer.
McCain has several big issues to overcome:
McCain on the First Amendment isn't going to help him either:
"I work in Washington and I know that money corrupts. And I and a lot of other people were trying to stop that corruption. Obviously, from what we've been seeing lately, we didn't complete the job. But I would rather have a clean government than one where quote First Amendment rights are being respected that has become corrupt. If I had my choice, I'd rather have the clean government."

Recall that McCain, under McCain-Feingold CFR, has tried two different times to restrict voters' rights:
FEC Won't Regulate Internet Politics
Posted 03/27/2006
The Federal Election Commission decided Monday that the nation's new campaign finance law will not apply to most political activity on the Internet. In a 6-0 vote, the commission decided to regulate only paid political ads placed on another person's Web site. The decision means that bloggers and online publications will not be covered by provisions of the new election law. Internet bloggers and individuals will therefore be able to use the Internet to attack or support federal candidates without running afoul of campaign spending and contribution limits. "It's a win, win, win," Commissioner Ellen L. Weintraub said, adding that...

McCain-Feingold's Electioneering Communication Prohibition Held Unconstitutional as Applied to Genuine Grassroots Lobbying
Posted on 12/21/2006
Today the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia held that the ban on corporate electioneering communications is unconstitutional as applied to the three grassroots lobbying ads for which Wisconsin Right to Life ("WRTL") sought judicial relief in WRTL v. FEC. Judge Leon wrote the opinion and was joined by Judge Sentelle in the majority of the three-judge court.
Look for more attempts by McCain, and possibly Hillary and Jon Carry, to restrict voters' rights and Internet use during the coming year.

McCain Looked into Caucusing with Democrats
Posted on 01/05/2007
Some of us have joked that McCain would be a great candidate--for the Democrat ticket. But it turns out that there is an element of truth to the joke. This month's Vanity Fair has a long fawning profile of McCain entitled Prisoners of Conscience. It says that the Bush-McCain relationship was so frayed after the 2000 election that in 2001, McCain strategist John Weaver actually sounded out Democratic Senate leaders about having McCain caucus with them. That would have given the Democrats control of the Senate.

Re #164. What you wrote is exactly why you should get paper on the subject first. In court, weight is given to those who document best. Start stipulating. Just a cheap lawyered-up letter stating your position. It could save you much cash down the road.
You should state and quote the leash laws for your locale in the note, to let your opponent understand that you have done your homework, and will kick their fanny if it comes to that.

Heh. Man I've had a Chinese restaurant owner who didn't pay the rent (I managed a shopping center)and I used to go in there, eat their food, and tell them I wasn't leaving until they pay the rent.
I've been to rent court so many times and man the stories I could tell. I evict them in a minute. By the time eviction rolls around they've been warned for THREE OR FOUR MONTHS!
I like your car trunks theory. And man, I've seen disasters in those apartments.
Since I am a female, ahem, I can be very nice and like my fine, doomed dog Jo-Ann, I can turn vicious on a second's notice.
Oh I can handle it. Just don't know if I want to.

I can understand your fears people are just not responsible.
We tried everything with our neighbours to educate them that racing pigeons are not the feral disease ridden ones they see in the High Street but instead they decided that our birds were the source of every problem.
We had a rat problem which even the guy the council used agreed was nothing to do with our birds but much more likely to do with the fast food outlets and supermarket where people throw half eaten food on the pavement and the local wildlife then move in.
