The Balkan Islamic Jihad: A Pan-European calamity

After the 9/11, a worldwide “War on terror” begun in order to disband and neutralize Islamic terrorist networks across the globe. The main focus of the largest anti-terrorist campaign in history is focused in the Middle East area, as well as in Afghanistan. The Balkan Peninsula is the European area where this campaign has also taken place, with numerous arrests and a continuous effort into riding the fundamentalist out of the area. The question arising though, is how did the extremists gain a foothold in South Eastern Europe in the first place, and what was the reaction of the international community over the previous years.

So, the outbreak of the civil war in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1992 presented an unparalleled opportunity for the international Mujaheedin to storm Europe, establish safe havens in the area and thus initiate re-conquest of regions they previously ruled. The leader of Bosnia, Alia Izebegovic was eager to obtain as much assistance as possible and didn’t hesitate in providing the necessary framework by which the Islamic ties were forged. In the same year, a variety of Islamic mercenaries flocked into the Balkans in order to support the “Holy cause”, meaning the establishment of the first Islamic state in Europe. The end of the war in 1995 saw quite a few of those mujahedin, acquiring Bosnian citizenship and establishing the first Islamic community in the village of Bocinja Donja.

"Ethnic Bosnian Muslim commander talks about Jihadist determination to kill "enemies of Allah" just before the attack on Pocjelovo. "It is a Jihad... and with even greater spark to kill Allah's enemies because today they are strong and pronounced as they have never been before"

I should also probably point out that the Albanian resistance under stalinist Enver Hoxha was officially atheist.

Yet as soon as Albania emerged from Hoxha's thrall at the start of the 1990's, voila, it's a Muslim majority nation again.

Funny how that works.

Balkan Muslims joined resistance forces in both Albania and Yugoslavia - they were not the monolithic block of Axis sympathisers you wish to erroneously portray them as.

What does that mean? Hoxha declared Albania to be an officially atheist state in the 1960s, but that doesn't mean than Muslims weren't part of the Albanian partisans in the 1940s.

Hitler's muslim SS units, by contrast, were...well...officially muslim. They had muslim crescents and slogans on their uniforms, prayed to mecca 5 times a day, ate muslim prepared meals, and travelled with imams - all sanctioned, supported, and paid for by the Reich.

Leaving aside for the moment the fact that the SS units did not have "muslim crescents and slogans on their uniforms," you are ignoring the fact that Hitler's Christian units had crosses on their uniforms, references to God on their beltbuckles, traveled with Christian chaplains and ate Christian meals, all sanctioned, supported, and paid for by the Reich.

I don't remember it this way. If there was a call for jihad it had few takers. In fact, I was amazed to see that the Muslim world in general was as indifferent to the fate of Bosnia as it had been to that of Afghanistan. One exception was the mullahs of Iran; they had watched neighboring Afghanistan's conquest with no sign of concern, and now sent aid to distant Bosnia. What made the difference? Perhaps it was the fact that the "Yugoslav" (i.e. Serbian) regime was hand in glove with Saddam Hussein.

I don't doubt that the jihadists are active in Bosnia, as they are elsewhere, but the Bosnian government, to all appearances, has been as active against them as any.

Moreover, I forbid the jokes and facetious remarks about the Moslem volunteers which are so much enjoyed in groups of comrades. There will no longer be the least discussion about the special rights afforded to the Moslems in these circles.

It sounds like the average Nazi officer was just as much an anti-Muslim bigot as you would expect from the army of a racist dictatorship hell-bent to conquer the world and subjugate the "undesirable" people.

Hmm. Come to think of it, the average Nazi officer sounds like the average member of the Nuke Mecca Crowd.

Indeed. That doesn't make it any less atheist though under Hoxha when he was fighting the Italians.

FYI: That first image is a military emblem, not the civilian "Balkan muslim nazi flag" you imply it is. Also, there is not a crescent in sight on that emblem. There is, however, the symbol sometimes called the "hook cross."

Hey...you are correct and there are becoming African Americans and caucasion American women from southern California, mid-west, south western states that have become disillusioned with "organized religion" that are becoming Muslims. Also, they have clerics and Imams in selected prisons that are converting African Americans and white felons to Islam......fact. It is a documented strategy that is being done. Now, even on the forums they take on the truth, and if they are challenged they call in the other dogs to make a pack......:)) They do this massively on Liberty Forum.

The most interesting trick they use is to create problems, provoke, get response, then like cowards, reverse or fabricate an incident and then blame the targeted group, culture, people, etc.....like in Europe. They run in packs, assaulting women for example, people etc...then people retaliate or the local government cracks down on their criminal behavior, then they scream foul....:)) they learn this in Subjugation 101...lolol.....

The Rape of Europe
http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/1609

From the desk of Paul Belien on Wed, 2006-10-25
The German author Henryk M. Broder recently told the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant (12 October) that young Europeans who love freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know it will no longer exist 20 years from now. Whilst sitting on a terrace in Berlin , Broder pointed to the other customers and the passers-by and said melancholically: “We are watching the world of yesterday.”

Europe is turning Muslim. As Broder is sixty years old he is not going to emigrate himself. “I am too old,” he said. However, he urged young people to get out and “move to Australia or New Zealand . That is the only option they have if they want to avoid the plagues that will turn the old continent uninhabitable.”........

Goodbye Europe

Europe’s botched civilization, perverted by socialism and lost faith, seems to have lost the will, the passion to sustain itself. If it continues to practice today’s multiculturalist leftism, Europe’s demographic doom will be sealed. Some harbingers:

• In Brussels, Belgium, the most popular name for baby boys is now Mohammad. Sustaining the population of a nation requires that on average each couple gives birth to 2.1 children. The average European couple now has fewer than 1.4 babies, compared to 3.6 babies born to the average Muslim immigrant couple in Europe. Across Western Europe 16 to 20 percent of babies are being born into Muslim families.
• In France at least 12 percent of the population is already Muslim, the fruits mostly of immigrants from former French colonies in North Africa. If present birth trends continue, by 2030 a quarter of France’s people will be Muslim, more than enough to determine who controls the national parliament and executive. As this columnist recently noted, the nuclear-armed French military is already 15 percent Muslim. Adjacent Switzerland is now 20 percent Muslim.

• The German newspaper Deutsche Welle days ago reported that Germany’s birth rate in 2005 fell to a level lower than at the end of World War II, to a “historic low,” more than fifty percent lower than those of France and Great Britain. But at a meeting this week in Berlin that brought together the interior ministers of six European nations, Germany’s leftwing Social Democrats continued to oppose the application of any test or standard that would restrict who could migrate into Germany.

The burgeoning Muslim population within Europe is not evenly spread. It is largely concentrated in and around big cities, whose local politicians feel its pressure acutely and often bend to that pressure. In the Netherlands the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam nearly have Muslim majorities now.

These Islamic enclaves are already taking on the character of conquered provinces that no longer belong to the European countries around them. As FrontPage Magazine recently quoted from the new book While Europe Slept by liberal American expatriate Bruce Bawer:

In France, a public official met with an imam at the edge of Roubaix’s Muslim district out of respect for his declaration of the neighborhood as Islamic territory to which she had no right of access. In Britain, imams have pressed the government to officially designate certain areas of Bradford as being under Muslim, not British, law. In Denmark, Muslim leaders have sought the same kind of control over parts of Copenhagen. And in Belgium, Muslims living in the Brussels neighborhood of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek already view it not as part of ................

Left Allows Europe to Fall to Muslims

http://www.discoverthenetwork.org/Articles/Left%20Allows%20Europe%20to%20Fall%20to%20Muslims2.html

In a recent interview, Prof. Bernard Lewis, famed historian and leading expert on Islam, warned that "Muslims seem to be about to take over Europe." The irony is that this takeover -- be it in 10 years or 30 -- is not because Islam has more tanks or better missiles than the Europeans. It is because the minority Islamic populations already living within Europe are making demands to Islamize Europe and no one seems to be willing to say no. No one has the political will to announce to the Islamic communities that daily life and laws in Europe must be in accord with the Western outlook that is Europe's heritage.

Was the fall of Europe inevitable? No, according to Prof. Lewis, who says it is coming about because "Europeans have surrendered on every issue regarding Islamic demands, due to political correctness and multi-culturalism." Europe has become woefully secular and its tepid attachment to a forgotten and dismissed Christianity is no match for the zeal of Muslims who remain fervent believers in their faith. Having been force fed that all cultures are equally valid, Europeans consider it unenlightened to assert the primacy of their culture even in their own countries.

****** NOW WE have the bait and now the switch which is so typical. The little expert I've been talking to here is an interesting and amusing microcosm of the big picture.....

First you antagonize, provoke, with suttle comments or a lot of BS....then, if you get a confrontation, or retort, or "back at you"....they run and hide behind the "poor me" skirt tail. In this case, read whatchmecallit's trail of BS and have a good laugh as this just follows the way they are taught to stir up trouble. :))))

ON the big picture.....here is the same technique..of "Poor me 301"....boo hoo...."victimized like jews by the Nazis"???? if that were so stupid and out of line, I'd laugh.....what a bunch of cowards.

From The Times February 03, 2007

We’re victimised like Jews by the Nazis, says Muslim leader
Muslim leader compares the political situation in Britain to that of Nazi Germany

Steve Bird and Russell Jenkins

Birmingham’s most senior Muslim leader yesterday compared the political situation in Britain to that of Nazi Germany.

Mohammad Naseem, chairman of the Birmingham Central Mosque, said that Muslims were being labelled as a threat like the Jews were under Adolf Hitler.

Speaking outside the mosque before Friday prayers, Dr Naseem said that Britain was turning into a police state, and accused the Government of “picking on” the Muslim community to pursue a political goal. “The German people were told Jews were a threat. The same thing is happening here,” he said.

Dr Naseem described the terror arrests in the city as an example of the Government justifying its political agenda and antiterrorism laws. “This is a persecuting course of action that the Government has taken. They have invented this perception of a threat. To justify that, they have to maintain incidents to prove something is going on. There is dismay and people feel they are being persecuted unjustly.

“There is no reason for that. If there is a reason, the process should be open and for everybody to see what is happening.”

He called on police either to charge the nine men being detained or release them. “People are upset,” he went on. “If there is evidence either charge them or release them.

“If they [the police] have been working on this for six months, what is the delay?”

Were it proved that the men were a threat, the community would accept that, he added.

“I do trust the West Midlands Police — but the orders are coming from the political establishment. Blair is under suspicion himself.

“I am asking people to be calm. They [the community] believe they have been wrongly arrested — they can’t see the reason for it. That is why people are upset.”

Thousands gathered to hear Dr Naseem during Friday prayers. Many believe that the arrests could be a repeat of those in Forest Gate last summer, when a man was shot in the shoulder as police searched his home for traces of a chemical weapon. He and his brother were released without charge and no evidence of a chemical weapon was found.

One worshipper, Asrar Ah-mad, 52, said the Muslim community was being used as a scapegoat. Referring to the arrests, he said: “There is a saying that creating fear controls the public. I think it is just creating fear.”

Suhail Shahzad, 44, who owns a telecommunications business, said: “People are getting the wrong ideas about Muslims — we are a very peaceful religion. Yes there are one or two bad people but you get that in any walk of life. We must stop the vilification of Muslims.”

When asked if he thought the treatment of Muslims could be compared to that of the Jews in Nazi Germany, he added: “Yes, I am afraid that is what it has come to.”

Shabir Hussain, a preacher at the Ludlow Road mosque in the heart of the Alum Rock area of the city, where many of the raids were carried out, said it was vital that calm was maintained. “We are telling the people here to go home and pray for justice. This community is very angry and feels victimised,” he said.

He added that after the raids on Wednesday he had been repeatedly called “Paki” by racists. He now feared the mosque would be targeted by those who wrongly feel that all Muslims are terrorists.

Allah Ditta, another senior and respected member of the community who was attending prayers at the Ludlow mosque, said: “We fear racist attacks. We don’t want any riots. We have worked hard to build the community here and we don’t want it wrecked because of these raids. The question remains: how many will be charged?

“The general feeling is one of fear. People are asking themselves: ‘Who will be next and is this another Forest Gate?’.”

Sir Iqbal Sacranie, former leader of the Muslim Council of Britain, commented: “I wouldn’t have used the Nazi reference but I know from the number of calls that we are getting that people are really disturbed by the onslaught on the Muslim community.”

Sir Iqbal said that much offence had been caused by David Cameron’s speech comparing Muslims who seek to live under Islamic law to supporters of the British National Party. “Opinion polls have been created giving a bleak picture of Muslim views which do not represent the majority. We are now having trial by media of the men who have been arrested but not charged. The main-stream Muslim organisations and community are being demonised and are under siege.”

. You don't have the credibility to downplay links, but you do have to provide refuting evidence.

Just a warning - he considers that burden beneath him. A few weeks ago he was ranting about how hundreds of thousands of muslims allegedly fought for the Allies as French colonial troops. I asked him repeatedly for sources, numbers, and unit names. After dancing around it he finally gave me a link to an unsourced opinion article on the website www.africultures.com. I looked into it and it turns out africultures.com is a Marxist afrocentric website that publishes articles about slavery reparations and freeing Mumia. So naturally I questioned its credibility, which prompted him to accuse me of racism.

BTW - on the French colonial troops - I researched that as well. Most of the West African muslims were forced conscripts rounded up in the early days of the war by the colonial press gang, and most of these were not even mobilized by the time France surrendered in 1940. Meanwhile, most of the French colonials that actually did the fighting were from non-muslim colonies to the south and Madagascar. Most of the West African french colonies were under the control of the Vichy regime...and yes, they supplied Muslim soldiers to Hitler under the Legion des Volontaires Francais that was later incorporated into the Charlemagne Division of the SS, which defended against the final seige of Berlin.

This is patently false and you know it. Stop lying and stop insulting veterans throughout the war who came to the service through a draft.

There were no West Africans defending Berlin. Stop lying.

Furthemore, I gave you the Sheck article, which states that there were 275,000 West African troops in World War 2. In a region that is 2/3rd Muslim that gives approx. 180,000 Muslim soldiers from west Africa alone.

FYI - the Scheck article was discussed extensively on another thread last week. It does NOT show 275,000 west african troops. It states there were 275K troops in the Tirailleurs Senegalais - a French colonial unit that actually included members from all parts of Africa. 10% of them were French European officers. Sheck stated that 122,000 of them were conscripted in the French West African colonies prior to the 1940 surrender, but only half of those actually made it to France before it fell. Nowhere in the article does Sheck give a muslim percentage of those troops. It may also be safely assumed that the non-mobilized conscripts who were still in West Africa fell under control of the Vichy regime, which was able to hold onto the West African colonies (though not the non-muslim colonies to its south). Some of them even ended up fighting for the Nazis in the aforementioned Vichy colonial units.
