I don't remember it this way. If there was a call for
jihad it had few takers. In fact, I was amazed to see that the Muslim world in general was as indifferent to the fate of Bosnia as it had been to that of Afghanistan. One exception was the mullahs of Iran; they had watched neighboring Afghanistan's conquest with no sign of concern, and now sent aid to distant Bosnia. What made the difference? Perhaps it was the fact that the "Yugoslav" (i.e. Serbian) regime was hand in glove with Saddam Hussein.
I don't doubt that the jihadists are active in Bosnia, as they are elsewhere, but the Bosnian government, to all appearances, has been as active against them as any.
Well, supporting Bosnian islamists Iran made a strike in the haert of the enemy. Sewnding Islamists and aid into creating a islamic state in Europe is much more lucrative idea than fighting for damn hills in Afghanistan.
