hether the problem is with the "Lady" part or with the "Thatcher"--(or, as I suspect, with both)-- missus-clinton-as-Lady-Thatcher simply isn't selling.



COURSE CORRECTION

A delusional, inflated view of self had caused missus clinton to veer right. She had calculated--wrongly--that she could run a general (centrist) campaign during the primary and not alienate the base; she didn't understand that the base wasn't in her corner to begin with. ¹ (And perhaps worse, neither was the smart money.) ²







"PUT THEM ALL TOGETHER THEY SPELL 'MOTHER'?"

Absurdity has never stopped the clintons. This is the case partly because they think we're idiots and partly because it is they, in fact, who are.³

The clintons finally figured out that if they want to win the nomination, they had better consolidate what they think is their gimme--the group they had used and abused forever--women. ^{4, 5, 6} (Their logic is finally right even if their gimme premise is false.) ¹²

And so we have the ultimate incongruity: hillary clinton as MOTHER... sloshing through the suds circuit... seriously... so to speak....




VIRTUAL SURREALITY

The husband told us about his VIRTUAL OBSESSION with bin Laden ⁷ and its perfect parry, his policy of VIRTUAL KILL, ⁸ together the incontrovertible proximate cause of 9/11. ⁹

The wife has apparently concocted a similarly feckless and dangerous feint: VIRTUAL MATERNAL.

For decades, for power and treasure, missus clinton aided and abetted her rapist husband and was an abuser of women in her own right; ¹⁰ yet she feigns concern about sexually graphic images hidden inside video games.¹¹

Can you say "psychopathic"???

 

Hypocrisy abounds in this Age of clinton, a Postmodern Oz rife with constitutional deconstruction and semantic subversion, a virtual surreality polymarked by presidential alleles peccantly misplaced or, in the case of Jefferson, posthumously misappropriated.

The life of missus clinton is a mock documentary about a non-entity who takes on the characteristics of whatever strong--

Missus clinton's life seems small, and there is a reason for it: There aren't any characters in it.

Missus clinton proves what Woody Allen merely hypothesizes: The erroneousness of the almost universally held postulate, that everyone is someone.

... While America appears not to be ready for a female president under any circumstances, the post-9/11 realities pose special problems for a female presidential candidate. Add to these the problems unique to missus clinton. The reviews make the mistake of focusing on the problems of the generic female presidential candidate running during ordinary times.

These are not ordinary times. America is waging the global War on Terror; the uncharted territory of asymmetric netherworlds is the battlefield; the enemy is brutal, subhuman; the threat of global conflagration is real.

Defeating the enemy isn't sufficient. For America to prevail, she must also defeat a retrograde, misogynous mindset. To successfully prosecute the War on Terror, it is essential that the collective patriarchal islamic culture perceives America as politically and militarily strong. Condi Rice excepted, this requirement presents an insurmountable hurdle for any female presidential candidate, and especially missus clinton, historically antimilitary--(an image, incidentally, that is only enhanced today by her clumsy, termagant parody of Thatcher), forever the pitiful victim, and, according to Dick Morris, "the biggest dove in the clinton administration."

It is ironic that had the clintons not failed utterly to fight terrorism... not failed to take bin Laden from Sudan... not failed repeatedly to decapitate a nascent, still stoppable al Qaeda... the generic female president as a construct would still be viable... missus clinton's obstacles would be limited largely to standard-issue clintonisms: corruption, abuse, malpractice, malfeasance, megalomania, rape and treason... and, in spite of Juanita Broaddrick, or perhaps because of her, Rod Lurie would be reduced to perversely hawking the "First Gentleman" instead of the "Commander-in-Chief."

I just simply can't understand you Americans obsession with Thatcher.Her husbands business dealings were 'suspect' to say the least.The woman's 'privatising'of the public utilities was a scandal and now we have to rely on the French for our water supplies and even worse the Russians for our gas supplies and her son would never be allowed to enter your country because of his criminal past and his own nefarious business dealings with the Saudis including a commission of millions of dollars for doing NOTHING arranged by his mother.
