Iraq: a close relation of the radical leader Moqtada Sadr Shiite killed in Najaf
NAJAF (Iraq) - the partisans of the radical leader Moqtada Sadr Shiite showed Wednesday the American army to have killed Tuesday evening in Najaf (southern of Iraq) important directing movement sadrist, which a spokesman of the American quota contradicted.
Of the American soldiers took by storm this night the residence of Saheb Al-Ameri in a southern district of Najaf (160 km in the south of Baghdad), declared in AFP the chief of the police force of the city, the general Abdul Karim Mustafa.
They killed it at his place, according to Mustafa general's, who did not give any other precision.
This night, about midnight, of the American soldiers entered by the force the house of Saheb Al-Ameri, said to AFP the chief of the Sadr block at the Parliament Nassar Al-Roubaie.
They carried out it in front of his wife and her children, showed Mr. Roubaie, who denounced this new crime of the Americans in Iraq.
Questioned by AFP, a spokesman of the American army contradicted these charges. We did not lead any operation to Najaf, affirmed the lieutenant-colonel Chris Garver.
Saheb Al-Ameri was one of the principal leaders in Najaf of the movement of Moqtada Sadr. Spokesman of the radical leader Shiite, he was also the secretary general of a Foundation of the martyrs, religious organization sadrist based in Najaf.
This incident intervenes whereas the block Shiite with the capacity has negotiated for several days the return to the government of Moqtada Sadr.
The Sadr current, which holds 32 seats out of 275 at the Parliament and five ministries out of 37 in the government, had announced at the end of November that it withdrew its support for the Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki, after a meeting of this last with American president George W. Bush.
These negotiations proceed in spite of the hostility of the American administration which would wish to draw aside Moqtada Sadr of the capacity.
Solved adversary of the American occupation in Iraq, Moqtada Sadr also directs the army of Mahdi, one of the most important Iraqi militia, regularly shown exactions against the community sunnite and of attacks against the forces of the coalition.
With Shiite majority, the town of Najaf is regarded as the capital of the Shiism with the presence of the Mausoleum of the Imam Ali. In 2004, it had been the theatre of an important anti-American insurrection carried out by the combatants of the army of Mahdi.
The American army transferred on December 20 to the Iraqi forces the responsibility for safety in the town of Najaf and the province of the same name.
The province is from now on under Iraqi control, commented on on this subject the American spokesman. We need the agreement of the Prime Minister to intervene on the spot and we intervene only at the request of the governor of province, it affirmed.
Denouncing the summary execution of Mr. Ameri, the chief of the Sadr block at the Parliament estimated for its part that there is no today Iraqi sovereignty in Iraq, showing the members of the government to be puppets with the service of the invader.

Well, this report is not credible at all!!
This isn't exactly a denial, if you read it word for word. At least not without knowing exactly what he said preceding and following this line.
But if it wasn't US military, then maybe civilian security consultants accompanying their trainees on a live fire field exercise?
"I killed the puppies, Lenny, I killed 'em!"
I wouldn't be surprised if "Muki" himself had this guy offed....just because he could....
...or is that "Moqi"?
LOL, as I was reading this I was wondering if the "American soldiers" took him out and tossed him in the back of a pickup.
