Troops leave "Jon Carry Stuck in Irak" mess hall.

Priceless photo and post at PowerLine today:

On his visit to Iraq, Senator Kerry apparently got something like the silent treatment from the troops who are "stuck" there. WDAY's Scott Hennen quotes a message from a friend serving in Iraq:

This is a true story....Check out this photo from our mess hall at the US Embassy yesterday morning. Sen. Kerry found himself all alone while he was over here. He cancelled his press conference because no one came, he worked out alone in the gym w/o any soldiers even going up to say hi or ask for an autograph (I was one of those who was in the gym at the same time), and he found himself eating breakfast with only a couple of folks who are obviously not troops.

What is amazing is Bill O'Reilly came to visit with us and the troops at the CSH the same day and the line for autographs extended through the palace and people waited for two hours to shake his hand. You decide who is more respected and loved by us servicemen and women!

LOL! It does look like they're ignoring him. He looks so dejected. ;o)

Having spent 8 years in the Xlinton military, I'm surprised that some troops weren't forced to sit with him for the photo op, and that some weren't forced to "ask" him questions written on 3 x 5 cards.

I will go out on a big limb here because I am hard to give up on people, and an experience like that could possibly initiate an Epiphany, even in someone like John Kerry, and he might see the light then reject the error of his ways

If that happened however, it would be clear to see as day IMO.

I guess I wont be placing any bets on it though

I don't like this. I don't like John Kerry but this is excessively rude.

When politics is involved, the gloves come off, but it is not election season and he should be treated at least like a human being.

Please remember my Catholic FRiends that sKerry claims our faith.

So does Teddy "Swimmer" Kennedy! Not good representation for the Catholics!

OMG! How pathetic! Maybe he will get the MESSAGE now!

Skerry Kerry will never get the message. His handlers probably lied to him saying it was busy day for the troops and that's why he ate alone, except for the news media guys next to him.

You're quite right. The poor dear should not have to bear the great cruelty of being forced to eat by himself. No human being merits such a ghastly injustice. I am sickened by the outrageous behavior of these uneducated, coarse, unintelligent soldiers. How dare they behave with such excessive rudeness toward a noble soul like John Kerry? It would be better by far if they treated him with warmth and hospitality so that he would never suspect that he had been an idiot and would never be forced to confront his snobbery and other character flaws. < /s>
