I seem to recall having read that Iraqi law stipulates that nobody over a certain age can be executed in Iraq and that Sadaam is within a few months of having attained that age.

"Quagmire, civil war..." When will the Iraqi advisers get the American jurists to start doing things the right way? Why do American judges and appeals court still insist on dragging their feet on capital punishment?

Execution by what method?....firing squad, lethal injection? drawn and quartering, decapitation, gassing, suffocation, garbage compacting, wood chipper, stoning, burying alive, cyanide, air bubble, etc.
Take your pick. He's still getting off light w/only one life to give.

Because it is their own self interest. They get paid to drag out the process.
The death penalty appeals process is lawyer welfare.

Al Ramsey Clark is going to have a hissy fit.
Why he isn't swinging beside Saddam is totally beyond me.

Al Ramsey Clark is going to have a hissy fit. Assuming treason is still a crime, there ought to be two ropes on that gallows.

A month? Why so long?
Too much time for leftist mischief.

While his execution is good news, it will not bring back the life of a single American. And the accomplishments of the people of Iraq for the next thousand years are not worth the life of the least of the people we've lost there.
I wish death on them all.

Russ el-Slimeroad (Moonbat-Al Qaeda) is deeply saddened (would've used Tiny Tommy Daschle, but he's out of the picture).

No dream.
He is being killed and soon.
Hundreds of thousands in Iraq really have grudges against him.
Saddam was in 9/11 up to his neck.
I have a bottle of red wine for the event. It is a top quality Shiraz. Bet I get to drink it before the end of January 2007.
