Why innocent people suffer is a long-standing theological question in virtually every faith, including Judaism. I didn't see where Judaism had answered this issue by saying that everyone who suffers deserves it.

I certainly don't know what 12 million (7 million Jews plus gypsies, homosexuals, etc) all did to deserve the horrors of Nazi extinction, er, concentration camps. Whatever it was, whooo boy, it must've be a lot more evil that what Hitler did (who was allowed to commit suicide). /sarcasm
